Great game! Also a great way for the spectrum to go out with a win in the final college game player there.
I bet KandK is happy!

Please, not another Pitt fan complaining about the refs in a 10 point loss.MyPens66 said:Most of the time, when the opposing team has 23 fouls, they will win.
I never complained, just stating it's kinda hard to win a game with 23 fouls. When Blair gets in foul trouble, Pitt loses. It's real simple.KandKCards said:Please, not another Pitt fan complaining about the refs in a 10 point loss.MyPens66 said:Most of the time, when the opposing team has 23 fouls, they will win.
Nova out-Pitt'ed Pitt last night. Tough D, few turnovers and great rebounding. The best atmosphere I've seen, and I've seen a lot of NCAA BB games. Great way to close out the Spectrum.
Pitt needs to get a shooter if they want to get out of the first weekend of the NCAAs this year.
Fair enough. I've spent most of the day reading Pitt apologists say Pitt is still the best, the refs cost them the game. Pitt (at least the ones I read and listen to) seem to always think their team can do no wrong. Pitt has a major flaw in their three point shooting. They basically rely on a low-rated freshman (Dixon) and occasional flashes from Young and the backup guards. When you go up against teams in the Big East like Louisville (Sosa, Clark, Williams and backups who can shoot), Uconn (Dyson, Austrie, Price, Walker can all shoot), Notre Dame (McAlarney, Ayers, Jackson), Cuse (Flynn, Devendorf, Rautins) and even Nova (even though their 3pt shooting is the worst it's been in awhile, Stokes, Reynolds, Fisher, Anderson and Redding can all knock them down), you just have to be able to win a game on the perimeter. Blair is a hell of a player...but like Fields said after the game, he will be in foul trouble again at some point and they need to learn to win without him.MyPens66 said:I never complained, just stating it's kinda hard to win a game with 23 fouls. Didn't get to watch the game because it was on ESPNU.
Very true, our best shooter is our backup point guard.
There's complainers from every teams' fan base. :/ As I said in my last post our best shooter is a backup point guard (true freshman, Gibbs). Dixon is a JUCO and started the year cold from 3. He's showing signs, but he's not "amazing" from beyond the arc. Young can hit them if he's wide open, same with Fields. Wanamaker can shoot, but he's more of a passer. I worry about our size. Blair gets in foul trouble and the backup center is some klutz who trips down the court (no offense Gary). I really wish the game would have been on TV.KandKCards said:Fair enough. That said, I still don't want to play them in the BET or the NCAA tourney.
Yeah, I would've been pissed if I hadn't been able to go.MyPens66 said:There's complainers from every teams' fan base. :/ As I said in my last post our best shooter is a backup point guard (true freshman, Gibbs).
