His first Team USA cards show him when he was 14, and compared to his 2022 Topps Archives card (age 23) there's pretty much no difference. He needs a beard or a mustache, if he can grow one.

Obviously no mail today but the 130 table show we set up at this weekend wrapped up today so I have a few weekend pickups.

I chased this card my entire childhood and never got one. I opened about 20 cases of 1991 Donruss in 2001 or 2002 trying to get one and never pulled one. It's been a 31 year journey but I've got one now.

One of my favorite Pujols RCs, a Bagwell I didn't have, and a Dizzy Dean Manufactured Relic I just thought was cool and it was $1.

SGC sub return day for the PC included one really nice Pujols and some Molina RC goodness.

2004 Fleer Classic Clippings Jersey Rack Bronze /149 - This one I've shared before I think when it was in a beat up BGS Authentic slab. It looks much better now.


2001 Johnson City Cardinals (Molina's first Minor league issue /1,000), Topps Chrome RC, Bowman Heritage RC, and a Bowman Heritage Black and White. I realized after the grades popped that I sent the wrong 2004 B&W. Glad it got a 9 though. Hopefully that means the better one will get a 10.

Baseball first and a weird coincidence that I got so many Cardinals in one batch. Gibby. . Whitey. . Ozzie /25. . Washburn /5. .Perry /25. . Bip. Cool thing about this one is the buyback stamp. Guessing not too many certified auto buybacks issued in this format. I have aSparky Lyle similar. Both are possible 1/1's in my opinion.
Spahn for $1.34. Buy this kind of thing all day... . Maddux RCs for cheap, just 2 reg Donruss.

1998 Bowman Chrome International Refractor AJ Hinch completes the team set, as does the 2004 Leaf Certified Mirror Blue Bat Tim Hudson. Still need 3 more for 2004 Topps Chrome Red X-Fractors. 2002 Fleer Platinum Parallel Tim Hudson 099/202 gets my team set needs down to 1...these can be very difficult to find because pretty much all of them have trashed edges from the production process so I imagine many people tossed them or don't bother trying to sell them. And the 2003 Pristine Primary Elements Mark Mulder patch is pretty sweet.


2010 Bowman Chrome USA Blue Refractor Sonny Gray 091/250 is one I've been meaning to pick up for a while...I still need the Gold version. 2021 Finest Flashbacks Refractor Rickey Henderson gets my team set needs to 1, still missing the Matt Olson for whatever reason. Need to grab that one since I have the 2020 and 2022 Finest Flashbacks Refractor team sets complete already. 2022 Topps Update '87 All-Star Black Autograph Barry Zito 19/50 rounds out this group.


A couple of Topps Black cards, completing the 2014 team set and getting me one away from the 2015 team set. From the first Topps Black set in 2003 up to 2016 I'm only missing 5 A's cards now.


A couple of "wait it out" pickups. These were both easy $100+ cards at one point. Armenteros had some decent stats in high-A this year and is still only 23 so you never know, but he strikes out an insane amount. Puason is still looking like a dud after 2022 but he just turned 20 in September so it's possible he turns it around. Puason was $22 and Armenteros was only $15 for a BGS gem mint copy.
