Re: What do u enjoy collecting and why?

+1 Where money is more important than cards. In any case I would say its very important to have at least SOME dealers out there.

I have a few unique cards myself ;)

I always thought that prospecting is kind of the opposite of collecting, as opposed to a category of collecting.

That's interesting and a VERY cool card. I've noticed it in your sig before. Two questions:

Was that at a private signing as well?

How do you get your sig to rotate autos like that?

#'d 8/8

Kinda cool that the Taupe back parallel just happened to be numbered /8
and Dawson's jersey # happens to be 8. My buddy pulled this from his case
break, and sent it to me :D

and then........I found this on eBay for a $4 BIN

The other player that I collect. Also Taupe back /8. Also #'d 8/8.

He was in Baltimore at Fanfest in 1993, signing a few of the promos that were handed out.

My most unique card? I'm assuming I'm the only one on these boards to have this Horace Greeley CDV/Cabinet Card.

The neck beard doesn't work from everyone, but it clearly worked for this American editor and former presidential candidate. In regards to the CDV card, it is probably from the late 1860s-1872 (when Greeley died).

1. Yes. Private signing done after the 87' season. There were COA's that came with each card but this one is missing the COA. But i do have a COA from mcgwire.com who like myself is very famailiar with the 87' autos. McGwire said the 87' donruss was his favorite card. So he did the signing, with the date and the HR number, 1 card for each HR. One of if not the rarest auto set he ever did. Thanks for the compliments. I recently got it after drooling over them for a LONG TIME.

2. Cutandpastescripts.com - you join, go to random images. go to your photohosting site and copy the direct link. you can put as many as you want. and it will come up with a link you put in your signature. cutandpastescripts.com PM with any questions, as thosebackpages directed me to the site and helped me set mine up. makes posting and showing off your cards 100x cooler
