Hey guys... I'm new to the forum and to football card collecting in general... I've noticed the sales prices on eBay and I'm a little confused... Maybe you fine people could explain it to me... You would all agree that Reebok logo autos are very desirable, right? In fact, I saw a poll online that asked whether or not people would rather see a gallery of NFL shield autos or Reebok logo autos before National Treasures was released and results ended up being almost 50-50, with slight favoring toward the shields... If Reebok logo patches are so desirable, then why are the sales prices favoring #/99 patch rookie autos in many cases over Reebok Logo autos #/10, even when the patches aren't the premium patches, i.e. Sam Bradford ram's head, or Gerald McCoy pirate's skull? Hmmmm.....

The /99 is the "true rookie," while everything else is a parallel. The true RC will always be the most valuable, with the exception of 1/1 logos, and even that's not a guarantee.

Everyone wants an RPA out of National Treasures because it's going to be THE most desirable RC this season. You can get reebok logos out of any number of products this year and people especially may not be paying a premium for them out of NT because of the (relatively) high numbering.

Isn't the #/25 a true rookie too?

Some people (like myself) will say yes to your question, while others will say the only "true rookie" is the base version.

All of the NTs, whether they are 1/1, /5, /10, /25, or /99 have the same rookie seal on the front... They all have the same rookie status, yet the /99 will be the most coveted?

That's also the case in hockey where the Cup RC's /99 outsell any of the parallels. Collectors see the rookies #'d out of 99 as the most desirable.

Some collectors are weird like that.

There is only one true rc a set the rest are parallels or inserts. More people collect the main set in nt over any of the subsets

Wow.... What I think that Ive seen so far is that each /99 or /25 can have five others like it... Meaning I think that 5 Sam Bradford ram heads exist... A couple of those ram heads have /25 on the back while a couple of the others have /99... And the /99 will be worth more even if the patches are the same?

Im gonna throw this out there... not to brag, but to see whats up... Not trying to be a ******...
I paid $1250 for #/25 Sam Bradford with a nice patch of the ram's horn... I won an auction for $700 last week for #/10 reebok logo Sam and I felt that it was a steal.... Not true?

To me the base RC is most desirable. 1/1's, #/10, #/25 are cool, but some collectors(myself included) don't consider them RC's. Even if the card has the RC logo or some other identifier. Look at you Bowman Chrome Baseball for example: Refractors(whatever color) and the Super are all inserted parallels of the actual RC which would be the base chrome.
