I posted this on the main board but figured i would post here as well.


I received this little envelope (see picture) with cards of the 20 Phillies players listed on the pink card in the scan. I scanned the front and back of the card and they are the size of a playing card. I have no clue what all the numbers on the bottom of the card mean and i assume these are from some type of game.

My question is does anyone know what these are?

APBA was a game put out in the 70's where a player would roll dice and then use a code sheet to match the numbers to determine what would happen for each "pitch". Believe it or not, my younger brother has license plates on his car that are "APBA1, APBA2, and APBA3". He was a fanatic.

After looking at your subject title it looks like you already got the answer.

Appreciate the response. Kind of cool, i wonder if this is what started the whole fantasy sports rage.
