What do people like about Mahtook? I'm far, far, far, from an expert but he seems like Reed Johnson to me. Average power, fringe arm at best.....

I guess I was hoping too much that Mahtook would make it to 36. But I'm happy with the Sox so far (to go with a solid Bruins game).

Wow...big surprise. Played against Hager and pitched against him my junior and senior seasons. Honestly, never thought he was anything too special. Knew he was being looked at at a first 5 round pick and signed with ASU, but pick number 32? No way I thought he would go that high. Happy to see Anderson at 20th overall and how much his hard work since HS has paid off. Hager is just a huge shocker to me.

so this may have been mentioned earlier in the threads but that's a TON of pages.....this is the 1st draft i've actually paid attention to and I was just wondering if someone could explain to me what the commitment to a college means? Does it mean the team is going to have to offer up something bigger to get him to sign with the club instead of going to college? Sorry for the dumb question, like i said never really paid attention to the draft itself

thanks in advance guys!

Someone correct me if Im wrong but you cant sign with another college team if you commit to that team (the college) but you do have the option to be drafted and play in the MLB

Thank goodness for one minute between picks. I barely paid attention to the first round but 5 mins between selections is painful.
