O/T: Las Vegas

Hey guys,

Im going to Vegas in a few weeks and was wondering if any of you could help me find any deals. We already booked a hotel room and figured out transportation, but I'm wondering if anyone has any insight on buffet coupons/deals or gaming match play coupons. Also, any advice on which buffet to choose from would be good as well. Thanks in advance.

I go to Las Vegas 1-3 times a year, and I always make sure to go to the Harrah's buffet at least once. It's my favorite of the more expensive buffets. My brother raves about the Paris buffet, but I'm not a big fan of french food, so I've never been.
As for the cheaper buffets, I love the Orleans and South Point buffets.
I stay away from the Flamingo, Palace Station, Buffalo Bills, Primm Valley, Circus Circus, and Excalibur buffets.

Coupons for buffets and gaming have become harder to come by over the last few years, but you can sometimes still find them in the Vegas magazines found around town.
Recent flyers and magazine coupons I've seen have been for coupon books at Circus Circus, and Downtown which usually have either buffet or gaming coupons. Some casinos also sometimes have promotions for free slot play when you sign up for their players club card.

Also, the Tix 4 Tonight half price show ticket stores sell discounted coupons for a few of the buffets. They have a coupon for the Harrahs buffet which you buy for $2 and it saves you between $5-7 on the buffet. I'm pretty sure they have a coupon for the Rio as well.

There are 2 good coupon books you can buy. Both have match plays on and off the strip.
American Casino Guide - on Amazon $15 or so
Las Vegas Advisor - http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com $37 -has BOGO for the Mirage and M buffets along with other stuff. You can use a couple coupons out the LVA book and still get $20+ back on ebay for it.

Sorry but I would not recommend the Harrah's buffet, ate there last year and it is not very good. I recommend Planet Hollywood, Wynn, or Bellagio. Haven't been to the M Resort yet but hear it is one of the best. They have a shuttle at the Fashion Show Mall you can catch.

For cheap eats, go to Ellis Island which is behind Bally's. They have a $6.95 steak special that is not on the menu. They also have a full rack of ribs with fixings for like $12. EI also has a micro brewery with good beer. The American Casino Guide has several EI coupons.

hey ill be out there from the 23rd to the 30th of may...we are staying at the planet hollywood westgate towers...got a 2 bedroom suite there.
