I had a few extra 1951 Red Backs from upgrading my set, so I sent off a few. Today's results:

Grady Hatton signed in black ball point, sent to his home on 10/1/08.

Larry Jansen signed in fine blue sharpie, sent to his home on 10/1/08. He also included a signed business type card with his record on the back and him being the winning pitcher in the "Shot Heard Around the World" game in the '51 playoffs.

Wally Westlake signed in black ball point, sent to his home on 10/1/08. He also included a signed 3.5x5 picture and a note about a favorite moment.

Quite a few returns for the Pirate collection this week.

Jim Pagliaroni 3/1 in 9 days
Tony Bartirome 1/1 10 days
R.C. Stevens 1/1 7 days
J.R. House 2/3 in 111 days
Pat Rapp 1/1 24 days

I'm finding I really like the look of signed vintage cards, so may I'll be looking to send out quite a few older cards in the coming weeks.

I couldn't agree with you more. And from my experience, the Pirates from the 50's and 60's are very generous and accomodating TTM. I just looked at your site and I must say that I have a l o n g way to go to match your autograph prowess. Gives me something to strive for. Keep up the great work!

I've been able to get a lot of players from the 90's and 00's that were only around for a year or two, however, seeing your vintage autos has motivated me to start sending out to older players.

I didn't see an October IP thread so I'm posting this here. Went to a festival/fundraiser for children's cancer and Al Bumbry was there- completely unadvertised and I had him all to myself. He stayed for an hour and signed vintage O's postcards. Great guy and looks like he'd still be at home in the batter's box.

Got this in today. I actually forgot that I sent it  I either sent it July/August 2006 or April 2007, pretty sure it was 06 though. The SASE was for my old house but was forwarded properly, so without ado
