Rickzcards said:There is relatively little sportsmanship left in the game in case you haven't noticed. Everytime a player makes a play they start strutting around like idiots and barking, is that sportsmanship? Everytime the QB gets sacked the opposing player starts dancing around and barking, is that sportsmanship? The outcome of the game wasn't in question after the second quarter, should they have just not came out and played the second half or let their bench players come into the game for the sake of sportsmanship and give the Cowgirls a chance? Where's the sportsmanship when the Lions and Rams are losing every game by 40+ points? You play to win and if the other team doesn't like it then it's up to them to step up and stop you.David T. said:There was 2 minutes left, 4th and 3 and the outcome was not in question.
Why not just kick the FG?
I guess it's just 2 different philosophies as it pertains to sportsmanship.
I liken it to trash talking, I'm obviously not a big fan of that either.
Another example is when a team is getting romped and one of their defensive players happens to sack the winning teams QB and proceeds to pose in the hercules pose.
Dude, you're down by 28 points and you finally sacked the QB. BIG DEAL.
Years ago there were some unwritten rules to sports that just don't apply nowadays.
Just saying.

EDIT: And if the tables were turned I would definately feel the same way.
It's called respect.
You seem to be trying to show me that it's the norm in today's sports world.
I'm not disagreeing with you.
I merely statng that I don't see the change as a positive one.
As I stated in my first post.....hat's off to the Vikings (notice I didn't use the very tired expression Viqueens, almost as tiring as Cowgirls) they plain and simple whooped the Cowboys.
I see it as payback for the worst trade in NFL history, the Hershel Walker trade.
It had to happen sooner or later.
