Maiava will be a steal.....he out performed the other Linebackers at the Senior Bowl.....he'll make some team very happy and if he ended up with the Raiders I know I'd be happy....we'll see what happens though.

Matt Stafford has officially signed with the Lions and will be the #1 overall pick in the draft...

John Clayton said:
According to a source, Stafford will receive a six-year, $72 million deal with $41.7 million guaranteed. The contract could be worth as much as $78 million if Stafford achieves all of his playing incentives.

the prices these rookies are getting if ******* stupid. there needs to be a rookie salary cap like the NBA has. I think it's a travesty that a kid who has not thrown an NFL pass is making more than some of the best QBs in the NFL, Super Bowl winning QBs.

Dumb.

I agree with the cap, not to mention the fact that stafford will most likely be riding the pine while Culpepper starts. Dude if going to be pulling in millions to read the playbook.
I really wish we would have gone O-line (the Lions have given up so many sacks in the past few years it amazes me that any QB's have been able to keep playing) or some Defense. I guess thats why I am just a stupid Lions fan and not in the front office

If mock Drafts and predictions are right
we might have 3 players available at #32! Unless we trade up which I dont see happening

Max Unger OL
Alex Mack C
Darius Butler -CB

We shall see what Tomlin is thinking tomorrow night

I read somewhere that Percy Harvin could end up a Steeler. As a fan I am like draft O-line! But as a collector Harvin would be cool. I don't really see it happening, they got Holmes but with an aging Ward and an underacheiving Sweed and with Washington gone it would kinda make sense. Not holding my breath though.

If he's there, Harvin will be a Viking. Not that I'm excited about that - I would rather have them reach for Freeman, because he can't be worse that TJax and at least there will be a lot of upside with Freeman.

Of course the Vikings would draft a WR with as many questions as Harvin. Troubled past. Really low wonderlic score. Failed a drug test HE KNEW ABOUT AHEAD OF TIME. Has a hole in his foot that will need to be fixed with surgery before he can play. Yes, looks like the perfect guy for the idiots, I mean Vikings.

I just kind of thought of something. Sportscenter has marketed Sanchez for the past month, but hasn't said hardlly anything about Stafford, yet Stafford goes number 1 overall. I just found it interesting.

Wow Broncos....picking a running back who would STILL be available at #18? I am speechless. I think now they have 7 running backs on the roster. No wonder my team is last in defense EVERY FRIGGIN YEAR!
