I've been playing NBA2K and been frustrated......trying to find sliders and tweak it, because offense was too difficult, and having a tough time coming close to winning a game with my Bulls association.......

Little did I know - looks like the game was simply being realistic.

Just imagine trying to play as the Timberwolves, like I do. Even on rookie I can't win. :(

I got drafted to the Wolves in My Player mode. I was ecstatic when Rambis got fired for playing Beasley more than Love.
I was drafted by the Nets with their second pick. I'm a "pass first" PG. I start at the 1 while D Harris starts at the 2 followed by T-Will at the three, then Favors, then Lopez. Our team is tied for the fourth best record in the East with about 10 games left in the season. Favors and T-Will are so overrated on this game (or atleast in my particular season).

Yeah I think I have to try rookie.
I was using PRO - and a user slider set.
I wanted to keep it there, because in terms of feel and gameplay it was great and realistic....but it losses the dun when you can;t win a game.

My only problem was when I was playing around using the rookie setting.....it seemed to lose a lot of the realism that made the other setting tense/fun......hopefully I can find something that works, or guess I can stick to MY Player and/or the Jordan challanges.

I have absolutely no idea why but the NBA 2K series always seems super challenging even on low difficulty levels. I can play any other sports game on the rookie/easy setting and dominate against even the best team in the game. Madden, NCAA Football, NHL 11, MLB 10, etc. Yet, I basically have to pick a top 5-10 team and play one of the bad teams to win a game in NBA 2K. I don't get it, at all.

I'm not bad at sports games. I'm not bad as basketball games. I actually think I'm pretty good at sports games overall, but for some reason the NBA 2K series just has my number and I suck terribly.

This is my first year playing 2K, and I'll admit that it was pretty frustrating and difficult at first. There is a pretty steep learning curve, but now I find it just difficult enough on the base setting to be challenging but not impossible. You really just have to think about what you're doing before you do it.

I can never seem to draw a foul when going in the paint. So I always have my shot altered and miss and the other team gets away with it. Plus, I'm terrible on defense. Which you know...is super realistic since no one plays defense in the NBA anyways.

The 3-0 Hawks just resigned Horford for 5 years $60 million.

Good for the Hawks locking him up. Not sure if he's worth $60 million, but he's damn talented that's for sure.

I've owned all of the 2K basektball games up until ESPN 2K5, which was the last one I owned. They were all pretty easy to play IMO, but I've heard this one is pretty hard to figure out.

Eric Gordon is posterizing Spurs tonight!

I've watching it online right now, and he is by far the biggest ball hog on that team. He's made 2 nice posters but otherwise has hogged the rock.

8 for 12 shooting is the best on the team tonight so thats probably why hes being a ballhog. if he was 2 for 12 then that would be a problem but if youre hot keep shooting

With Gordon's assist total and a rookie playing in the backcourt with him I assumed he was pretty much playing PG, and therefor would have the ball in his hands the most. Granted, I didn't watch the game but I'll take an efficient scorer on my team that hits open teammates for shots any day of the week.

I watched some of the Clipps game last year and Eric Gordon was definitely hogging the ball out of necessity. With Baron out, the Clippers looked pretty disfunctional, especially with Gordon out too. Eric Bledsoe looked pretty decent at times, especially for his first NBA start but Gordon was the only real perimiter threat last night for the Clipps.

Clipps should be 0-5 tomorrow after the Thunder, I'm actually going to that game, should be high scoring.

Compared to the Joe Johnson contract, this is a great deal, and it's the same that Joakim Noah is getting paid. The only problem is that the Hawks proabably won't be able to re-sign Jamal Crawford.

As the residential Hawks fan, have you heard any murmurs about Josh Smith being shopped soon? I've heard some rumors from people of talks about him being available (because of money reasons) and that the Hawks, if they falter this season, could be willing to shop him for expiring contracts and youth.

I've been hearing more about Crawford having to be traded this season or just let go in the offseason when his contract expires. I think Josh Smith will only be moved in a blockbuster type deal sending him, a 1st rounder, and Crawford for a superstar type player or something of the like.

Yeah, but compared to Joe Johnson's contract most all contracts look good. :P

I think Horford is legit and you have to secure a guy like that for the long term. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the Hawks were stupid for paying him. Just a little on the expensive side when you're already paying Josh Smith $12.4 million next season and Joe Johnson another $18 million. That's $42 million locked up between the three of them. Is it worth spending that much money for those three guys? I guess we'll see.
