The wife and I are planning on coming. It is her birthday weekend so it is taking some convincing.

The O's are playing the Angels that weekend! A friend of mine from the angels now works for the orioles and says she is getting me scout seats to sit right behind home plate! And supposedly we will be going on the field during batting practice!!!! I hope it all works out!

National Prices vs eBay Prices

need some experienced responses please.

Ive never been to THE national. ive been to a bunch of the East Coast Nationals.
Each time over the last few years, eBay has crushed the prices vs the ECN.

for example, a graded card going for $20 at the show is usually readily available for +/-$8 on ebay.

how do the national prices stack up to ebay?

i went to one in chicago and you can really find some good stuff in the bins, like most card shows, the big stuff is always overpriced and the copy of beckett handy. I just love looking around!!

Question to FCB guys. I was looking at the Sheraton prices and it says the room is like around 147 a night, I cant remember the exact price. Anyways to my question that is the price if you book now, as the regular price is around 300. The only catch is it is non refundable and have to pay basically the full payment 2 months ahead of time. Is this what you guys did? It seems a little odd to me.

Right, but did you get a discount on the rooms because you booked early?

Ok fellas, I attempted to post this in bouwob's thread titled "any one setting up at the national?"

I plan to set up this year as well, BUT I am looking for someone who has interest in possibly sharing a booth. The Promenade booths (10X15) are $1,295.00 or $600 per. The regular booths are $1,095.00 which is a 10X10. So the extra 5 square ft make the extra $200 well worth it.

So IF anyone who is honest, trustworthy, and seriously interested in splitting a booth, please pm me or email me. If I can't find anyone then I'll simply look to set up with the smaller booth. Just thought that maybe someone else might be looking to set up and share the expenses.

I am splitting travel and hotel expenses with a buddy of mine who's accompanying me, but he wants to walk the show and isn't interested in setting up.

So if your interested, Give me a shout.
