Did anyone see Gilmore in the Beckett video! Over on Beckett's site if you watch the "Strolling the floor at the National" video, right in the very beginning the annoying Beckett guy filming shows him saying "Theres Chris Gilmore..." Awesome! By the way it looks like Beckett is right next to FCB booth?

I just got back. My trip was for three days, but I was bored after two and did other stuff in Baltimore today instead of the show.

Just a terrible place to buy stuff, but I knew that going in. Everything is either:

A. Museum Stuff - sellers with great stuff that set up with no intention of selling anything, just to show it off

B. Delusional Sellers - sellers that think that think eBay is a big secret that only they know about and charge 2-3x eBay prices for common stuff

C. Leftovers - sellers that know what the deal is, and for that reason have nothing really interesting left to buy

I bought one card for myself and a few handfuls of cards to flip. I did drop about 6k cards off at COMC. We'll see how that goes. It was fun to check out the stuff some of the auction houses brought that I could never own. I didn't mess with getting any autographs or waiting in line for two hours to get a Strasburg Topps card.

edit: Oh yeah, I got a Mantle JSA'd and my daughter got a ball from the Thursday O's v Angels game.

I had the same feeling as I was there yesterday and met Chris, he's a good guy. I bought a few cards, may have overpaid on an Arenado Status Auto for 20, but it will be going up in the future. I bought a Withrow TOTC auto for 8, which is a good deal, and a Betances TOTC for 12. Bought a box of 2004 SP prospects and did okay, but not great. I got a Brandon Allen auto, a Luis Gonzalez auto, and a Zimmerman GU USA... Good time, but it took nearly 3 hours for me to buy something...

If it is, you guys should go over there and flip their table over & push them around a little bit. Maybe take their lunch money too!

If anyone there can pick up copies of the catalogs from the bigger auction houses, I'll be glad to cover your shipping cost to me plus a few extra bucks.

Panini's booth sounds like so much fun...hopefully it is the same next year.

I stopped by the FCB booth on Thursday. I won a FCB give away Mini Helmet autographed by Jim Otto. Also I received an uncut sheet of the FCB trading cards. I stopped by Atlanta Sportscards and COMC's booth as well. Also, I met Randy Shields and his colleague at their booth. The National is all about the baseball cards, but it was great to see, greet and meet the people that devote so much time and energy to baseball cards. Furthermore, I waited in line to get the NSCC1 Strasburg. At the last possible moment I figured out a person needed the 10 packs before getting in line. The sequence of events gave way to Allen, who I had just met while in line, selling me 10 packs out of his 2010 Topps box. Thank you Allen.

Good to hear Lisa at least got some of those back.

And just glad to hear info from the Natty. My car/$$$ both kept me from going Friday as I'd planned.

Also, I'd be interested in buying any of those Evan Turners that may be available...

Hey all,

Back in the MKE but I had a great time and wanted to say hello to all those I met as well as the fun I had in the chat.

Definitely was nice to meet you Tim, when we left you weren't at the booth so we didn't have a chance to say See Ya!

(It's Marie)

I had a great time meeting everyone and hanging out. We had some good laughs, and some scares as well. Looking forward to unpacking my stash of cards and spending the next year of my life logging them in.
