What a horrible statement. The last pass to Bennett was so far behind him he left skid marks trying to turn around his body.

I guess Lovie Smith has the over in the game, I have no idea what play that was ::facepalm::

I guess you are just ignoring the dropped passes and the terrible route running that we are seeing. I urge you to name a Receiving corps in the NFL that is worse than the Chicago Bears. I await your answer.

Jacksonville Jaguars, they were a train wreck today.

Today's proof against one of the softest pass Ds historically in Indy:

Torry holt 3 catches for 47 yards (leading receiver on the day, I think he is 40 years old)
Maurice Drew 5 catches for 26 yards (not know for his receiving like other backs)
Mercedes lewis 3 cathes 23 yards (5 TDs in 4 years)
Troy Williamson 1 catch 10 yards (re-tread from Vikes)
Greg Jones 1 catch 9 yards (260 lb fullback)
Nate Hughes 1 catch 7 yards (who?!)

Jacksonville Jaguars, they were a train wreck today.

Holt alone ranks the Jaguars WR corps above the bears for me.

::facepalm::

Dude, do you even know what you're talking about? Torry Holt is 33 years old. He's very much so still a productive WR in the NFL.

Maurice Jones-Drew isn't known for his receiving? Would you care to explain how he had 62 receptions for 565 yards last year then?[/quote:3ki5y5r6]

Earl Bennett will have more yards then Torry Holt by week 8 then Torry will have in 16 games.....he is 8 years younger.....if Holt is your best receiver your team has issues.....Jacksonville is trying to get rid of him/and or limit his touches this year.[/quote:3ki5y5r6]

Contracts are not guaranteed in the NFL, if they were really trying to get rid of a guy they just signed this summer, they'd cut him.

BTW Jones-Drew had 62 receptions last year, sharing the load with another RB. 62 receptions was slightly out of the top 30 in league leaders for ALL eligible receivers. Then again he isn't known for catching the ball.

the excuses for cutler will continue no matter where he is at....its something you just have to live with...in denver: the reason he never makes the playoffs is because his deffense sucks...in chicago: he threw 3 ints (should have been 6 but packers d cant catch) because the receivers hands suck...give me a break, this kid is a whiney crybaby who thinks he is better than what he actually is

Really?

Almost as funny as when you said Hanson would have 20 wins if the braves scored runs for him... He has started 17 games..[/quote:3ol3j6qm]

Yes, at the end of the season the heartbreak losses and blown saves will be very close to 20 wins...the last 3 weeks he is winless because of the bats and pen.......anyways:

Maurice Drew has averaged 3 catches a game for the last 48 games......if he is ever your 2nd leading receiver in the game with 26 yards you probably lost 99.9% of the time.[/quote:3ol3j6qm]

Also, just because you mentioned it, I'll go ahead and post it. The Jaguars are 24-25 in those 48 games where MJD averaged 3 catches per game. That's not exactly good, but that's not terrible either. They had an 8-8, 11-5, and 5-11 season.

Ok very simple:

What is the depth chart of receivers for the Jags?

I will give you the Bears:

Devin Hester
Earl Bennett
Greg Olsen

You can stop right there. Those three will have better numbers then the top three of the jags by 30%.

He was the 2nd leading receiver in the game in 48 games? I think not.

Good luck next week. You'll have a win there too as the attack is very similar. The Bears sure stunk tonight.

I think Jay Cutler has become my most-hated NFL player. The guy just looks like a cry baby *********. If you exude the kind of arrogant condifence that Cutler does, you better back it up.

I am so happy he failed tonight. Loser...

You should learn to practice what you preach, honestly. I was addressing your comment about MJD averaging 3 catches per game over the last 48 games. Which is why I said "The Jaguars are 24-25 in those 48 games where MJD averaged 3 catches per game".

I could honestly care less if MJD had 26 yards today. It's the first game of the season. That isn't a resemblance or reflection of his overall ability as a HB nor a WR.

Also, here's a little statistical info for you. Just to satiate your curiosity if that claim you pulled out of your behind was actually accurate or not.

Between week 1 and 2 of the 2008 season and week 1 of this season there were 7 teams that won with a second receiver having 26 yards or less. Well, sorry. Make that six. The Carolina vs. Chicago game the Panthers second receiver had 29 yards.

How many were running backs.....since that is what we were talking about all along.

The comment I made was if your 2nd leading receiver has 26 yards and is a running back you are not going to win 99.99% of the time.

I was waiting for your response. Of course you're now going to try to say you were talking about running backs only. We started talking about the worst WR corp in the NFL. So no, we weren't just talking about HB's. You mentioned that MJD isn't known as a pass catching receiver and I refuted that. Then you say when your second receiver has 26 yards in a game you lose 99% of the time. You never said when your second receiver is your running back and has 26 yards in the game. I'm done with arguing with you. It's a waste of my time and I have better things to do. Like work on my grasp of the English language.

ok so the Vikings and Jags have maybe the worst receiving corp in the league :) They can fight it out with the Dolphins.
