As far as I know, many, if not all, of the junk era Topps stuff can be found with asterisk variations.

Anyone ever see this on these 1992 McDonalds cards? One asterisk vs. two.

Very well known among variation and Topps master set collectors.

Neither version is rare, Topps produced in equal quantities.

Junk Topps with code/asterisk variations:

1988, 1989 and 1990 Topps Big
1990, 1991 Topps Traded (wax)
1991, 1992 Stadium Club
1991-1992 Stadium Members Only
1987-1989 Glossy All-Stars

I came across one on ebay not that long ago that perked my interest briefly. The seller said it was magazine quality, which turned out to mean it was similar to a page from a magazine. In the end, his asking price and the fact that is was jusy a sheet of paper showing 9 card images steered me away. Perhaps it was even issued in a magazine originally or maybe just a cheaper way to provide a promo sheet?

Is yours paper or card stock?

I am working on acquiring one but I think you are right it is more paper than card stock. It was a dealer only item sent to dealers. I’m hopeful to get it.

I’ve been aware of the hologram varation on the 1998 Collectors Choice cards, but I had never noticed that the fronts have either a white border or a gray border. I have both hologram variations with the gray. Does anyone know if both exist with the white as well?
