Wanted to start collecting hockey again but wasn't sure where to start. Decided on a vintage set because of the number of vintage dealers at my local shows. Started with a couple ebay auctions to get me going on the 71-72 Topps set.

I want to get them graded, but there are some in the lots that obviously won't be sent. Just couldn't pass up the lots for the price.

Edit: Ugh, did the pics wrong

Got a Fleury BAP auto on the way. I like the design of these this year. Almost "futuristic" looking.

Agreed, very good looking cards. I've got this one incoming:

Out of curiosity, who makes BAP??? Just wondering since they do use the logos on player photos...

Upper Deck still makes them. If you read the fine print on the back of one of the cards it will say "Sea Otter Place, UDC, blah, blah"

EDIT-
Here is one of the rookie redems from this years BAP that i just lifted off ebay, you can see the UD hologram and if you read the very fine print it will say UD Sea Otter's address.

Yeah, I figured it out after I posted. Some reason I'd thought ITG always did it.

Either way, I did bust a box and will have the break up in a few.

I remember pulling one of those Ovechkin young guns and selling it for about 100 bucks at the time. It was pretty early in my collecting second life, and at the time it was almost like selling something for a million dollars. I was so happy.
