I saw that one listed and posted it here when I saw it. I figured one of you guys would go for it and knew I couldnt come up with the funds to nab it, which is ok. One less bidder to go up against. :)

Its too bad they didnt use that gold foil for the regular issue AP's. So nice looking. Much cooler to look at than the regular versions.

BTW, either of you guys need that dual GU that I doubled on?

Nah, I already have one.

The latest and greatest. Loved how I got two of these off ebay shipped for a total cost of less than a buck each. Really worked the search hard for those hits.

Nice on the polo grounds. I really dig those and I'm at around 15 or so. Why I like them I have no idea. I guess I just find it challenging. I also love going after the 2005 studio portraits too after seeing the grace collector with all of his. But I think I only have about 11 or 12 of those.

Cool stuff Dan. If you find a stash of high five team sets at the natty, hook it up brother. Also, keep an eye peeled for a 1995 leaf promo!

Wow.....that looks a REALLY good buy for someone. I'd think that issue would go for way more especially for a high caliber player like Bagwell. Interesting to say the least.

Eh...I wouldn't imagine it going too much higher. I knew I wouldn't be able to compete but I had it pegged at around $100 or a little less. Didn't even think it would go this high.

It is surprising though that a player like Bagwell only brought $150 for that. It's an almost impossible card and I think the buyer got a great deal. If I ever come across the Clark it's gonna be four digits.....

Yeah but Clark and Bags are nowhere near the same planet when it comes to prices. Most Bags cards don't reach that high unless it's a mega rare card that's highly sought after. This being a 90's release and somewhat sought after(though not quite red crusades type of sought after) makes it believable. The thing is, I don't know if this was a set collector or a bags fan who won it. I can't see names of course but the feedback numbers don't ring a bell.

Yeah I wasn't implying that it would bring the same as Clark just surprised $150 was the market max for Bags. Consider you guys lucky ;)

True. I have to say it really depends on the card but IMO, I'm not really down for paying mega money for Bagwell stuff. He was a great player and obviously my favorite but in all honesty, that is the reason I don't go too hard after stackhouse stuff. People will pay more for his cards than I'm willing to. I either pay what I feel is a good price or I expect to pay based on performance. That's the reason I don't collect Griffey Jr. like I do Bags. His performance and his prices are too good/high. I expect to pay what I'm usually paying for Bags and if deviates to an area that I feel is too pricey, I'll step down some. I could never go after Clark stuff like you do because I just couldn't bring myself to be paying the kind of money based on the player. I have no problem with anyone doing it. I guess I just like to feel like I'm getting what I paid for. With Clark stuff and even like I said with stackhouse, I feel the prices are too high based on performance. And these guys aren't rookies so there is no hype train. Even with rookies I don't get carried away. IMO, I'm not paying big money, as a collector, for a guy who in all honesty hasn't done anything.

Dan, I received your package today. And may I just say that it was way more than I ever expected to receive. Thanks so much.

I think there is also a team version too. I cannot remember if there is an 04 version though. In any case, as long as you have the 01 locked up, everything else is gravy.
