Re: Official - Nats NOT Concerned With Harper's Makeup
Exactly, many people fail to recognize that once you leave high school, there are no longer bad players on the field. It takes a good, if not great player to go to the next level. And a lot of guys end up getting drafter out of JuCo or going to a bigger school for their last two years. Just because it's JuCo doesn't mean that these are by any means bad players.

WOW.
What do you think would be equivalent of Harper's statistics if a player was in a big time conference? What would be as impressive as .410, 21, 59, 1.414?
If the player had Harper's exact skillset?
Likely even better, especially in the power numbers. The rest of them use metal, turning many of those doubles and flyouts to HR's.
You don't think the quality of pitching makes a significant difference?
What makes you think that his conference has bad pitching?
The conference he plays in has 6 teams, and only two of them have team ERA's above 3.90 (Colorado NW and College of Eastern Utah suck).
CSN also plays teams like Yavapai and Chipola, which are good JC programs.
Is harper THAT good? Yes, but he isn't hitting against the School of the Blind, Deaf, and Dumb.
