these were the other four, which i've posted in other threads but consolidating here some quick comments:

1) the 96 select mirror gold was acquired raw and I was told it was in fantastic condition and it was; it gemmed even with the peel on.
2) the 98 pinnacle mirror red came from a board member, was lucky enough he was flexible to work out a deal with me. ended up trading him another 98 pinnacle mirror + paypal for the Pedro.
3) the 98 select jersey number came from a collector who I came across online and took over a year for me to work out something fair for it.
4) no real backstory on the 98 fleer showcase legacy, it was on ebay for probably less than two hours. i'm glad the seller was online and also fairly flexible in working with me!

What were the other 4 cards on the "hit list"? Are you considering doing another one since you finished that one?

love these Timeless Treasures Rookie Year Materials, especially the more specific text on the back that Topps (and most other card manufacturers) have done away with these days...

Thanks. They could have also used Papelbon (I just picked up his single patch/50 from this set last night).

I can't seem to find a way to scan the Exquisites to make the foil stamping look nice.

you may have already tried this, but did you try rotating the card 90 degrees? or scanning with lid open / closed?

not sure how the physics works but I think all of those could impact the way the scanner LED hits the card and the refraction levels.

e.g., I always scans BGS slabs so that the length of the slab is perpendicular to the motion of the scanner LED.

^nope but would love to find one and add it to my collection!

here's some recent pickups. i need to be better about scanning and sharing!

1. Loved the Donruss Elite Dominators design in 1993 and that Panini brought it back this year - with on-card autos!

2. Topps has brought Pedro back in a big way in 2014 - I think he has autos in Dodgers, Expos, Sox and Mets uniforms. pretty much everything besides the Phillies.

3. here's a biggie...this was a redemption from 2013 Five Star that got fulfilled recently. Love the card and all the autos!

I moved some things around, but will post scans of the other 4 shortly. the "hit list" was a bit different because I knew where the cards were; currently I have a want list but not exactly sure where some of them other. although, certainly some guys on this board have shown off a few cards that are making me salivate

on the 90s insert front the want list includes quite a few biggies...

Still need that card otherwise I have all four 98-99 essential credentials future and now cards for Pedro
