It's painfully obvious management has thrown in the towel on this season. The next 62 games are going to be little more than an extended audition for next year's roster. I can't see how it can be argued that the 25 best players are currently on the roster, or that they are putting out the 9 best on a daily basis.

The busy day for the Pirates isn't over yet.
Sanchez for Alderson
Who's left to trade this week? Grabow and Capps? This is going to be almost entirely a new roster since the last homestand by this weekend.

He definitely has had some horrible luck this year. I don't see that changing, with this patchwork disaster of an offense we'll be running out there the rest of the year. It's going to be reeeeeeeal bad after Jones comes back to earth.

Wow I mean Moss needs get the plug pulled on him. He is terrible just plain terrible. I rather have Milledge up here and I think he could hit better. Capp's conditioning is terrible I think that is why he has been bad this year.
Both of the Deals today were good for the Pirates, but this team is not going to be pretty the rest of the season. Miguel Angel Sano may be the next Pirates move.

I would hate to live in the Pitt area with a nice stadium but no team !! I can see team sets next year all players in former teams jersey with Pirate over them .

I don't mind that the Pirates suck right now, I just remind myself that the Pirates still have way more WS titles than the Cubs, who have a HUGE fan base, I would hate to be a Cubs fan!!!!

And the purge continues...
Grabow and Gorzo for Kevin Hart, Josh Harrison and Jose Ascanio. I think it's time to go see if anyone is still selling the Irate Fans tshirts...
Grabow presumably would have netted us a first rounder and a comp pick, and we're selling pretty low on Gorzo. Harrison interests me, and Hart was rated the Cubs #6 prospect, but is 26. I'm not thrilled with the return, especially now that we have no lefty relievers in the upper minors or Pgh.
For those counting at home, the Pirates will have at least 13 players on their 25 man roster that have spent time at AAA this year.

that leaves Duke , Capps and cutch [I think] that played low "A " Pirates here after 15 years . Still a few in AA and AAA . Consider we won championship twice .

I've tried to stay largely optimistic through these deals, but...wow
Honestly, how many legit major leaguers are left on the roster? Beyond the starting staff, not many by my count.

I was happy that I was going to a Pirates/Phillies game in August. Now I'm not because there's no Pirates I want to see anymore 
I guess I'll have to settle for only McCutchen.
