I guess I'll call this a spring training success.

Here is my last success of Spring Training with a story. So during our stay in Florida we ate breakfast with Pat Venditte's family nearly every morning. He has so many stories, that we could have probably stayed there all day listening to him. During one of our breakfasts, we met a guy named Mike who was from New Jersey. He and his family were huge Joba Chamberlain fans and had actually become friends with Joba and his Dad, Harlan. Mike knew that i liked autographs and asked if i had Jobas yet. I told him i have been trying to get an authentic jersey signed by him since i got it two christmass ago. He said, "No problem" So before we left, i left the jersey with him.

He just sent it back a couple of days ago and it turned out great!

Joba Chamberlain Road Authentic Jersey: signed in silver sharpie on the #2

-My Dad told me that he got it signed at the Yankees luncheon for the Boys and Girls Club. It turns out Mike is friends with the Steinbrenners and he was a very cool guy to meet. Each year our trips have gotten better and better. All the time we are meeting more great Yankee fans. Hope everyone has some good final successes from Spring training this year, and now onto the regular season!

Cool story. Well, I guess I am officially 0-fer for ST autos. I sent out about 6-8, just to see how it would go. Got nothing in return--so far. We'll see if anything still arrives as the season rolls along.

Mike Harkey was the only Yankee return, out of about a dozen sent. It's always harder to get players on teams that have just won the World Series. I guess they inundated with mail.

I really didn't have too great of a Spring.

About 8/30 I think. I usually do much better, but that's usually in season.

Well, spring training was not good to me. 6 of 20 returned. I've waited a week for any stragglers and I've wrote a recap of my ST successes and non returns so far. If you interested, the link is below.

If your not interested, why not? I mean, come on! Help me light up all the states on my google analytics page.
