I am doing a massive card project, will be writing 3 or so ttms today and a couple more tomorrow, but some of the guys out there (John Miles, Virgil Trucks some older guys like that) I want a nice signed ball to show off, how do you send those? I mean obviously bubble mailer, but is it a courtesy to send some shipping money or something?

Also if anyone has a John Miles A&G card please PM me, I really want him on a card (he is the BEST ttm signer and my favorite ***** Leaguer. I don't want to be too greedy, but I would just like some signed stuff of him)

Also, who here gets their TTMs/IPs certified? I took a look at the list on PSA and they have a good selection of players, but is it worth it? I have 2 Kenseth's that I am skeptical about, and I have some TTMs that I would like in a PSA case for protection/display reasons. Especially if the Kenseth's arn't real, I would take the signature off and give them away to someone. Especially since I am going to write to Josh Hamilton (my favorite player) and I am skeptical about his.

ok for a ball, i would ue box in smaller box and go to the po and tell them you want postage on both because one is a sase, they are usualy good when it means money for them, certified, i would wait till the psa/dna i think at least once a year $10 special, if you have a player thatas not in the list call them, they will add they player to the list, happed with me for kazanski and mejias, now will you get your money back in sales, maybe not, but its worth it for the protection and good chance of them being non ghost signed, but i like slabs so im gonna be a little biast. good luc ethier way

Thanks for the help.

I like slabs because they are easy to store. I probably wouldn't sell any of them, but just to know that they are real would be good enough for me. I like the BGS/JSA case better, but I trust PSA/DNA a lot more than BGS/JSA

I think Jeff's way of sending a ball might be best, but since I have to cut corners with time and cost due to college, I do mine a little differently. I use two bubble mailers with six stamps each. I've never had a ball come back messed up or smeared (yet). Also, I've noticed most the time the post office does not cancel out the postage, so if you open it carefully when it comes back, you can place a label over your address and reuse it to send out your next TTM request.

yeah... That is an interesting way lol. I would like to send the card and the ball at the same time, what would be the best thing to have them sign it with? I hate sharpie signed balls, it doesn't soak into the leather and smears right after signing (I got a Gary Gaetti IP at a game last year, the ball smeared ever so little... but it still made me mad)

John signs everything in pen, I got him a year or 2 ago, and he sent a letter, index card, and a typed letter all written on in pen (again not greedy, but I want a card for the project, and a ball to show off. I don't want to show people an index card because those could get ripped or damaged.) I always send the older players a couple dollars

Actually theyre are alot of people here who trust JSA more but they both are good options for autos worth slabbing

Got three back already. Most pumped about the Figgins, didn't think I'd get it back and I see another success here, so I might re-send a heritage card!

Any one send to Mark McGwire? I've thought about it, but so far I haven't been able to do it.
