There were like 3-4 old beckett guys that joined during the first week. They left, I guess, because there weren't many/any other b-ball collectors and the site was acting kind of screwy when it first began.

I remember one guy spamming all of the beckett boards with FCB stuff, but nothing happened. I don't think people want to go to a place that seems desperate to have people.
Heck, this forum was more active than the football boards for a long time.

That is very true...but...imo the contest thing is a VERY tricky situation because you don't want a whole bunch of people coming over ONLY for the contests. If they do happen to stick around that is great...and the EXACT point....Kind of like an influx of FCB members that only show up inthe basketball boards when AKA is doing a contest....just my 2 cents.

If someone had a youtube account and made videos of all of their acquisitions through buying, trading, etc, they could say join this site and such. Tons of people would see it and hopefully join here, know what I'm sayin'?

Yea, we see this happen a lot. Can't blame them ,but it would be nice to see more contribute. If Basketball isn't your thing though I guess ya really don't have much to say.
