i will make a long story short...went to the PO to pickup my mailday after i was called and told they found the package, "someone just brought it back, it was given to the wrong person"....oy vey!

BUT, all cards in tact....new sig...2 down...2 to go!! Glad to add the two, wish the circumstances were different, but very happy to land these!

I love Johnson's nickname, the juvenielle (sp?) in me.......Gary Carter makes me ill (think 1986 :evil: ).......edit, also "The Kid" is one of Ted Williams nicknames so that pisses me off too....

Just wished Carter (and ozzie) signed their names along with the nickname. Why in the world would an athlete who gets a card to sign simply sign a nickname? I mean, didnt they see all the space available?

Same with the Musial, as he signed HOF 69. If he signed "the man" would be the best certified auto card ever of his, hands down.

Yep those are the most disappointing. McCovey would have been better too if he signed "stretch" still. Not sure what Seaver's nickname was.

yea, definately a few that would have been better if they used their nicknames (rather than HOF yr)...would have rather seen ripken sign "iron man" and would have rather seen griffey sign "the kid". At least griffey signed his card the way he was supposed to according to the "nickname" ud printed on the card....

Especially with on-card autos, and the magnitude of this set, you'd think UD would have made it explicitly clear to the players what to sign.

Very nice...i love the look of the platinums...there is definitely a nice difference between them and the regular. When you get to see one, it makes you want more!

Yeah that was the 2nd to surface (that I've seen) in 4.5 years. First one I bought off another collector, then I just sold it to jpcz for his immortal collection. Just goes to show how this set has held its value.

It may very well have been the owner of my LCS selling them. He busts older wax from time to time,
plus he has untold 5,000ct boxes of god-knows-what in his store room. I think he's busted 35-40
cases of 05 Heroes tins over the last few years.
