Seen a few cuts recently that ive never seen....so why are all the owners of the ripken and ryan immortals holding out? Ive got money waiting to be spent on them!

That is insanity. In ungraded form, that card has sold from 150-200. Did grading that card cause it to go up that much I wonder? You can do much better with an ungraded version.

Hey guys! So I took a page out of Dave's book...peeled this sticker...

And went to the white plains show and got him to sign it, the way it should have been (on card)....red ink true 1/1!

Unfortunately, he didnt center it too well, but he looked for a minute at it and started towards the bottom, i think because he thought he might run outa room otherwise. Took him about 45 seconds to sign it, and the final loop in the "r" was like watching slow motion tv...but he is a super nice guy, and he said "nice card"!

Insane, John!! Way to bring that card into the set the way it should have been signed, on-card. Congrats! I think it looks fantastic.

Well, this is the first time i've ever fealt "sick" about losing a card. The Ryan immortal came up with a 1k bin/bo, and i offered more than any had sold for before, and was countered at 700...a couple hundred less than the ripken platinum was purchased for. A crazy amount in my mind, but apparently one other collector didnt think so....my highest offer was 635 too, and she was aware how much i wanted it, but gave me that one shot and i didnt bite. Crap! This one hurts, but is 100% my fault since i had the opportunity...just cant believe there was someone willing to pay that amount. In the end, i was stubborn over 65 bucks andit bit me in the ass...way to go me ::facepalm::

I was hoping that it was you that won that card. That's the thing about this set, as time goes by these cards just keep climbing in price ( I know, thanks Mr. Obvious) . I hope you get another shot at one.

The last month of mail. As time goes by my mail weeks are turning into mail months and soon, I have a feeling will be mail years as I get closer to needing the rarest cards.

The auto on this one is really faded, must have been sitting in a case for the past 5 years. It is just one to have until another pops up.

Dont know whether to be happy about the set prices (this same person also set new highs for the musial and seaver, and someone else did on the carter), or upset that i didnt see it coming and cost myself a chance at finishing it. Fingers crossed another shows up soon and i wont be so stubborn the next time around, but now that this was done, looks like ill be biting at around the same price.

Great additions! I think it was something with the pen that beltran used, as thats not the first ive seen of his auto's fading on that card. Maybe he didnt use the supplied pen?
