I set some snipes up for yesterday and today so when I get home last night, I have a message from my sniping service that the bid didn't go through because eBay needs to verify my number. I was pretty pissed cause I never got an email from them stating they needed to do this. I actually lost out on a very nice card that went for extremely low. So I just shook it off and verified my phone number which was correct from before.

Today rolls around and I get home from work and find the exact same message from my sniping service about updating the phone number. Now I was just beyond pissed cause I already did that. I logged into eBay and I receive an automated message that states I must have eBay call me so I can get a PIN. Ok....so where was this message yesterday or in fact, a few days before? Well, I guess I can look at it this way, I probably saved myself around $100 in the last two days, but still, it was a complete joke.

Was this esnipe? I missed out on a nice, rare card Sunday because of 'technical issues', the first time esnipe failed me. Haven't seen any message about phone numbers, though.

I was a long time esnipe customer...but on 2 occasions, just 1 week apart, my eBay account was locked down for unauthorized use because of a snipe going through. Fortunately, the snipes were made before the lockdowns actually occurred, it wasn't an instantaneous process, but it took several hours of trying to regain control of my account on a later Saturday night/early Sunday morning before I knew how to quickly solve the issue the next time it occurred.

Since that time, I've been a member of BiddingScheduler.com and I will say it is a much better service with no lockdown issues. I especially enjoy the email notices if the bidding on a sniped item surpasses my snipe amount.
