I got a couple doubles/extras in of a few favorites, so I scanned them together.

I also went through some of my graded stuff and these are the extras I have available. Not sure the best way to move them for top value. Any ideas?

Serial number #01/10. Makes 36/60 on the 99 Tek Golds. Will I find them all before I die :? Found this one on checkoutmycards.com. A few other lesser player Tek Golds there now (Orlando Hernandez, Tino Martinez).

That's not chipping along the top just a reflection of the overhead lights.

Does anyone know how rare the 1997 Gold Embossed Refractors are w/o die-cut edges?

I know we saw a Jeter a while back, but has anyone seen others?

I have seen a small hand full of each player, I assume the number is 5 +/-
The Silver with the Atomic Refractor minus the embossed player is even more rare.

Are they more sought after than the regular die-cut versions?

I like them equally well.

You assume backdoor, what if they never went in the door at all. This is a long story and fight that Bob Nappe tried to win for years......some of these never made it to Topps from the print plant.

Interesting.

I am debating picking up a copy of a collected star player.

What did the Jeter sell for?

Not as much as it would right now. If you can find a non-die cut gold refractor get it, if you dont want it I do.

Just to chime in on the 1997 Finest Refractor discussion:

Interesting to see the non-die cut "atomic" refractor - I think it must be a printing error.

Officially any gold "atomic" refractor should be die cut.

For Bronze Cards:
-Bronze Base
-Bronze Refractor

For Silver:
-Silver Base
-Silver Base Embossed
-Silver Refractor
-Silver Embossed Refractor (featuring an "atomic" style pattern front)

For Gold:
-Gold Base
-Gold Base Die Cut Embossed
-Gold Refractor
-Gold Embossed Refractor (all of which were die cut and feature the "atomic" front)

Got this in..maybe it's a promo? Same front as the regular issue, so I scanned it next to the packed out issue so you can see the size difference.
