Picked thes up for 50 cents a piece at the local card show. Does anybody have information on the Albert Belle? Is the card actually /20? It is stamped Inaugural Issue May 7, 1998.

There are only 20 belle's made. Pacific used to stamp base cards with a major shows logo and then hand them out at their booth. They were usually stamped and low numbered although some were just embossed. I have a couple of Andruw, one /10 and one /20.

Thanks for the comments guys. Does anybody have any information on the Mark Grace and Paul Konerko? I am looking in the Beckett and it seems to say that the first 100 of some players are plastic/leather/nylon/wood variations?? Very confusing. The Konerko is serial numbered 012/250 and the Mark Grace is serial numbered 0075/1000. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

The Konerko is listed as this on Becketts site. The first 50 were die-cut
1998 Leaf Fractal Materials Die Cuts #182 Paul Konerko GLR WZ

The Grace is the same. The first 100 were die-cut
1998 Leaf Fractal Materials Die Cuts #97 Mark Grace LY

For the Konerko, these are the 2 cards that Beckett Lists:

1998 Leaf Fractal Materials #182 Paul Konerko GLR WZ (SP /200)
1998 Leaf Fractal Materials Die Cuts #182 Paul Konerko GLR WZ (SP /50)

The cards are all #ed /250. However the card SP /200 is the non-Die-Cut. The SP /50 is the card that you have being that the 1st 50 were Die-Cut.

Thanks for the info guys. The becket says the first 100 cards for some players and first 50 for others were made of different materials (plastic/leather/nylon/wood), Do you guys have any information on different materials being used? Thanks.

A quick question to all the 90's collectors... I've opened quite a few boxes of 99 HoloGrFX and pulled quite a few of the Future Fame Die-Cuts. So, would the Gwynn in the scan below be a gold version? I've always assumed it was, but second guessed myself a few times...
The odd thing is that if it is a gold... than I have yet to pull a base at all.

The easiest way to tell if it's the Gold version is the back. The place where on the regulars where it's silver will be gold on the gold versions.

1999 HoloGrFX was one of my favorite sets. Here is my photobucket link to what I have scanned so far.

Yep... it's a gold than!

HoloGrFX is one of my favorites as well! I'm assuming the Launchers can be determined the same way as the Future Fame?

They can be determined the same way as well, but they are far easier to tell. The foil on the fronts of the Starview and Lauchers are clearly gold. It's just the foil on the gold Future Fames that make them difficult.
