Finished up my BGS 9.5 Rainbow, not sure I will ever get all of the inverted as 9.5's, but I will hope and try. Sucks that they feel the need to feature this Griffey guy on the front instead of Andruw. ;)

can someone pm me scans of 97 score hobby reserve and premium stock cards? lofton has three versions of each and someone is trying to tell me that series 2 of score the premium stock cards were stamped with the hobby reserve logo (which makes no sense)

thanks guys

Sorry, that someone is correct.

Per Beckett:

A special Premium Stock version of the base series one set was produced exclusively for hobby outlets. The cards parallel the regular issue set except for a grey border, thicker card stock and a prominent gold foil "Premium Stock" logo on front. The cards were distributed in Premium Stock hobby packs. Second series Premium Stock cards were called "Hobby Reserve.

Hobby Reserve cards are numbered with an HR in front of them on the back and they look exactly the same as the regular version. It is confusing the way Score did this.

Premium Stock 1st Series, never seen a Hobby Reserve for 1st series cards, even though Beckett list them on their checklist.

Yep, that's it! Nice card! I got outbid on a Will Clark one last year, but those things just never pop up.

That's what I'm hoping eventually happens with me. I've searched for lots just like that. A couple of weeks ago, a big lot of them sold on ebay, but Clark wasn't in it. I still bid on it, b/c Frank Thomas, Hideo Nomo, and a few other big names were in it.

$22 a box... What are the odds of the parallels and inserts. I am guessing the real tough ones are 1:36.

I took the plunge. Probably a big mistake, since most of the players in the Series 2 set were scrubs. $100 gamble. I've done dumber things. Let's hope I get a Clark. If not, at least a couple of stars. I've had those boxes favorited for awhile. I'll keep you guys posted.

Definitely!

I've been thinking about buying them for awhile. It's just frustrating knowing I'll probably only pull 1 Reserve Collection per box and 75% of the set is scrubs. I'm gonna have to get real lucky. I sold Glavine from Reserve Collection a week or two ago for $29.95,

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390259381956

so I don't have to pull the biggest names to recover some of the money back, just don't want multiple copies of Glendon Rusch and Brant Brown. It would make my 2011 if I can finally land the Clark.

Yep. 221 different players. Most of Series 2 were rookies or traded players. Only the subsets (Goin Yard, Rock & Fire, True Grit) had star players, making the stars in the set even harder to pull. I just played the lottery :)
