I have a Manny Ramirez 1999 topps gold label one to one- it a class 1 black label 1/1. Seeing some of the prices for the red and black topps gold labels has made me think about listing it on ebay...but I was wondering what amount of the final price is driven by the set collectors? It seems that the common theme in these threads are the player collectors placing some serious bids only to be runner up to the set collectors... Which means that the 1/1 may not be worth much more than a /25 red label if it misses the set collectors. Thoughts?

No matter what man, you gonna get serious cash for that card. I would do it if I were you

Agree for the most part. There was a board member who recently sold a 1-to-1 Frank. Can't remember the exact price, but it was lower than I expected.

Damn, the Red /25 is the last non-1/1 I need from Gold Label too. There was one on Beckett Marketplace for $35 a few years ago and it's long gone.

One big problem with 1/1s from this set is that the fronts are indistinguishable from the base fronts.

True. But the same can almost be said about all of the different topps gold label versions- they are hard to tell apart. The back of the one to ones, however, is pretty nice with a reflective gold background and a pretty large 1/1 stamped in white on it. Was it the 98 gold labels that have the "stealth" serial numbering on the back where they were stamped but with no color? It's better than that anyway.

Can anyone give me any info on 2002 donruss originals buybacks? I'm looking for a checklist and wanted to know if they were actually serially numbered. Thanks.

You're talking about the embossed buybacks? They were not serial numbered. Beckett lists the print run that was provided to them by Donruss, none of which was greater than /10.
PS-This belongs in the "Oh Super Sweet 00's Inserts" thread! j/k ;)

I love the Legacy cards. I was a moron two years ago and sold the few Griffey's that I had.

I cant imagine the thousands of dollars they must have been worth back in the 90's

They went for 4 or 5 thousand when they sold a few years back.
