my buddy found a bunch of stars for 2 cents each. HAHA. I don't care for them. Not pack inserts.

Figured this would be a good thread to ask this question about some 90's parallels. For 1998 SPx, according to Beckett there are the base version (/9000), Radiance parallel (/4500), and Spectrum parallel (/2250). There's currently an auction on eBay for 4 versions of the Olerud SPx card, which includes these three versions plus an "unnumbered" parallel.

Is there really an unnumbered version, or could this be some sort of back-doored variation or something similiar? I've never heard of them.

Thanks.

I don't think an unnumbered version was pack released. Likely back-doored variation, although I have never seen one of Andruw and he has a total of 9 cards in that set. Will be interesting to see what the other more knowledgeable guys have to say.

I know I've probably asked before but I have a question on the 1996 Stadium Club Extreme players cards. There is a bronze, silver, and gold version I have of Bags. On the back of every one of them it shows rules for something or other on the back. My question is are there normal cards without this info on the back and the ones I happen to have just redemption versions? Or are the cards I have the normal card? I'm confused because the guy I purchased the gold from told me that there was a regular version without the rules on the back and then ones with the rules on the back. Is this the case? I tried looking it up on Beckett but their site is really not working well for me right now. It sucks too because there are a number of other cards I'd like to look up on there as well to get more info on them.

They worked very similar to UD predictor cards. The only winning players in that set were Griffey, Maddux, Bonds, Piazza. They could be redeemed for a special 10 card set (Bronze and Silver). I don't believe Bagwell was in that set. The Gold winner got a pretty heavy bronze (the metal) card with a refractor image on the front. Each Gold winner only got the player depicted as a redemption (not the 10 card set). I have the Bonds and Piazza and are one of my favorite cards in my collection. I think they are undervalued since I've never seen another card like them and are very unique.

One more thing. The redeemed cards look nothing like the design of the base 1996 Stadium Club set.

I don't think its necessarily a back door version as much as its a, oops, it didn't get serial numbered during the process. I have a similar card like that from their hockey set that year. Supposed to be out of 9000 but has no serial # on it at all.

Anyone need? I just received a good offer on them but figured I would ask the 90s guys first.

I need bernie but you outbid me on it. I do have an extra jose guillen though. I was hoping to complete this set in 10 years but the recent price increases will make it tougher.

Interesting piece. Was this one of those things they attached to shoes or gloves back in the early 90's?

Edit: I see you the link is 92 rebook pumps tag.....Still an awesome piece as I'm sure many were thrown out minutes of the shoes leaving the stores.

I know there is a Juan Gone...basically anyone who had a shoe deal with Reebok in the early '90s has the potential to have a tag. They're actually like cards too, with some pertinent player info on the back.

And yes sir, it was from some Pumps.

The 1998 Mirror Image Atomics are pretty tough. I was able to land the only Cruz that I've come across.

Thanks for the info. Man...I wish Beckett wasn't so screwed up. I mean...I have my checklist but the info about each card is whats invaluable a lot of times. Its nice to have a board here where I can find out though!
