Just completed the set with the Moment emerald and the All Star emerald

Congrats! Looks great!
I still need the Orange & Emerald Moment. I had thought I finished that set a few years back, so I didn't bother looking for them anymore. Then I realized I was missing all the Moment cards & was kicking myself for watching them all pass bye.

I hate when that happens. The orange shouldn't be too hard to find.

Very nice. Love seeing other Sandberg collections.

Thanks. I checked out your website and it is very nice; a good professional job there. Nice collection. Here is my photobucket if you want to peruse some of the other Sandberg cards I have along with the rest of the auto/gu part of my Cubs collection.

Goes great with this one...

Check out how both cards were mislabeled (Doesn't say "Inverted"). Need one more to complete the mislabeled rainbow. :D

Got a pretty good deal on both of these, glad they arrived.

I really like those blue chip prospect cards, wish Griffey had one.

Fandruw stole that one, I think he won it for like $5 or less. I put in a small bid assuming he was bidding anyways. It was a horrible title. Nice win Fandruw!

1999 Fleer Brilliants 24-Karat Gold /24

I have heard members post on this thread raving about these. I bought the O'Neill today for $20 to finish of the rainbow. I only saw completed football sales so I am not sure how I did on this? My gut told me it was a fair price, but it may even be a steal.

Bought the card 4 pm Friday and got it in hand today!

O'Neill wasn't in the Crusade set but this rainbow is just as shiny (if not more) and equally hard to complete in my opinion.

Very nice. I am waiting on my 24-karat gold McGwire. It will be in hand later this week.

Nice rainbow for sure but trust me...The Crusades are much harder. And much more expensive.

Thanks! More expensive, maybe. But I don't see how they can be much harder to find. With the exception of the Green/250, the numbering is nearly identical...24 Karat/24 v. Red /25, and Gold/99 v. Purple/100. They are even from the same era, both sets were released just a year apart.

I would think that with the popularity of the crusades, they are in fact easier to find since people list them. On this thread, I have seen many more Red Crusades than 24K cards.

docdw25 - I saw that McGwire end on eBay with no bids. Hope you got a good price for it!

In the past 5 years I've seen 3 Andruw 24karat and 1 red crusade. More people collect the crusade set than the fleer brilliants keeping the price down and less in personal collections.

The reason you've seen more crusades is because when Burbank bought out a collection a couple years ago many crusades (and other 90's cards) left a private collection and hit the open market. A couple other sellers also acquired large crusade collections and put them for sale (shanks, spanascar, allsinc).

Most collectors showing off the crusades hadn't seen a copy in their collecting years and here many were becoming available.
