Nice Bags George! Today's mail included these 2, both from 2000 but since I haven't had a nice 90's mail day in some time these will have to be close enough:

Is that the harder-to-find version on the Griffey? Does it need a new home since you just tossed them in a shoe box?!?

Finally knocked this one off the list. Not the best looking refractor ever but it was much harder to come by than the 93 or 94 for some reason.

Any of you 90's guys happen to know anything about this card?:

The one in question is the scan on the left:

The right scan on this one:

Obviously one is the base UDCC, but the other I can't seem to figure out. Pretty much the same in every way except for numbering, size, and year. Most likely nothing crazy valuable, but would be nice to figure out what it is.

Thanks,
Jacob

The new centerpiece of my collection:

Colla-1.jpg

Not only did I get to add to my serial #1 collection, but it's #1 of McGwire's first officially licensed autograph card, so it's the first one ever. I was lucky enough to finally convince the owner into selling it to me. Barry Colla kept this card for himself, never inserting it into the sets!

A team set issue maybe? Can't find it on my list and I wonder if I might have one somewhere. The years on the backs are different in any case. The card you are wondering about has a copyright date of 1997 while the regular one says 1996. But I checked 1995, 1996, and 1997 and don't see jack. I'll have to do some digging.

Could that be from the National Packtime set? I think Gwynn had one but it was another company...Pacific I believe. It was a set of cards spanning different companies...I'll see if I can dig out my Gwynn!

**EDIT** Nope. That was 1995 and they have a National Packtime Logo on them!

Yeah...I automatically checked that as well but I have the national packtime Bags and as you said yourself, it has the logo on it. Not to mention I don't believe it looks anything like this card here. Plus its standard size to boot.

I just noticed the MLBPA logo is different on the back.

the hologram is different too.. the size of it would make me say some sort of test proof but I have no idea really.

I've never seen one quite like that either. So, its slightly smaller than the regular issued card??? I thought it might be 1 of the UD Choice Preview cards, but those weren't issued until the following year I don't think. Cool card though, hope Clark isn't in it.

Super tough card to scan. The "mirror" finish on the Gonzalez side is done zero justice here. I tried lid open, closed, etc.
