What sniper do you recommend?
\gixen :D

yep.

gixen.com

it's $6 for a calendar year.

Just put a small Gixen banner on your page, like I have done at the bottom: http://oneill21.webs.com/

No need to pay, I have free mirror service until 2038...

"Backlinkers also get Gixen Mirror service for free, as long as they keep linking Gixen, and as long as (Google) pagerank of the linking page is at least one."

Fun batch of cards for $20

1995 Score Jay Buhner Redeemed - surprisingly good condition considering it's been mailed and handled at least three times in its life:

1999 Pacific Invincible Reds - check out the thread about them if you haven't already:

Snagged this beauty on a BIN for $9 dlvd. I love the blue foil in the Diamond Axis cards, but these dark subset cards don't pick it up as well. That aside, the front of this card is the best I've seen from Diamond Axis. Only one of those weird little pinpoint dimples (on the very edge) they seem to have and despite the dark card with all the angles there is no white showing (despite the dusty scan). The back is not as good, but who looks at the back anyway

Unnumbered Cal Ripken Jr. 1998 Pinnacle Performers Big Bang Seasonal Outburst:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-Pinnacle-P ... 2a17db5f1d

Price seems a bit high for the non-serial #'d version...

With only 17 serial numbered copies made, I assume the unnumbered copies are less than that. From what I recall, the unnumbered copies were held as replacements for damaged cards. So I doubt they made another 17 assuming all of them would need replacing.

With that said, I have yet to see an Andruw Jones numbered or unnumbered and his is serial numbered to 18. So I think $350 is fair if not a good price for a Cal Ripken collector.

Does anyone have a serial numbered copy of their player? These cards do not pop up often, that is for sure.

not to hijack the conversation, but while we're on hard to find Cal Ripken cards, what do people think about this one? I believe this is from the Pinnacle bankruptcy and considered hard to find:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-Score-Sele ... 255c9d4cb1

From what I've read, there are very likely only a handful of these cards out there, despite the /50 serial numbering

They are serial numbered to 42 for each player in the set. Very rare cards.
This is the only Juan Known.

No, they are numbered to whatever the players HR total in '97 was.

Thanks for posting a scan, great card!!

Anyways, I realize Beckett is not always correct, but it would be kind of odd for them to make this up:

Randomly inserted in packs, this 20-card set is a parallel insert to the Pinnacle Performers Big Bang set. The striking red foil background (as averse to the silver foil background on basic Big Bang inserts) makes them very easy to differentiate. Print runs for each card were based upon the featured player's home run total for the 1997 season. Those figures are detailed individually in the listings below after each player's name. Unfortunately, more non-serial numbered cards are currently circulating than real serial numbered cards. This is due to quality control return copies, of which were never intended for public release and are typically destroyed one year after the product is released, getting out during Pinnacle's bankruptcy liquidation.

How long has that been posted? A Ripken collector should be all over it. I did notice the wording said "has been marked" to 50, but the one on the FrankThomasCollection has been stamped w/ serial number.

Check out two of the last three paragraphs here:
