Time to list them? At those prices, I would be sleeping until they were listed!

clarkfan, thanks for almost stopping my heart! I've got "include descriptions" in my Brett Butler saved search. For a second I thought you'd unearthed another '92 Super DK.

I do :)

I had the whole set. Thomas gone at $1800, Clark gone at $1500, Ripken gone at $1500, more to come as I have the time to list them.

I feel sorry for the guy that sold those sets. He had 3 sets and sold them for what a total
of 560?

What is amazing is that I got offers of $200 and less either on ebay or on the boards when I had my Ripken listed from that set, and then took the listing down and the offers came flooding in at $1k and more. You got $1,500 for a PSA 7 +/- version of it. That is awesome! I was happy to sell both of mine for over $1k. Those cards are once in a decade kind of opportunity.

Wouldn't sell my Thomas for any reasonable price. $1,800 was an awesome price you got, but not too much for a collector that may not have another opportunity to buy one again. If I didn't have one I would have paid it......

This was today's mailday. It was kind of a spur of the moment purchase, but it was one of those things that I may never see again. Not too many people think to list Galarraga cards.

Glad it arrived fast! I purchased a incomplete set in November and that was 1 of the extras I had. Enjoy!

If you don't mind me asking, from what state did the set come from that you purchased?

Here in Missouri (Columbia). He's mentioned you many times (at least a big Derek Jeter fan/friend anyway). You know him??

A good friend of mine from Washington state, who passed away in 2005, had a near-set of First Pitch Previews (and Stand Up Guys, Superstar Samplers, and many other rarities). His sons decided to keep it all (despite really not knowing exactly what they had) and I have never heard from them since. I was curious if they finally decided to get rid of the stuff.

It was that Starting 9 that started my trek back to collecting. I essentially quit out of frustration and lack of funds in 2000. Every once in a blue moon I'd check ebay to see what's listed.

One day a few years ago I notice this card - never thought I'd see one. I bid on it for kicks, and am amazed to win it for $17. It's then I start to understand that the market had depressed and that maybe I can afford to come back. The rest is history!

Not amazing at all.
Every Player collector has their wants and needs according to their own priority.
We don't all hold every insert in worship as every other collector.

Were you not "trying" to sell or trade the Ripken for a Thomas?
When did you get/find your Thomas?

Was trying just for a trade, but got a bit impatient. Listed the Ripken card and found someone with the Thomas who contacted me through EBAY that only wanted to sell it, and had no interest in the Ripken.

I love the Stiffler pic from American Wedding you have as your main picture!

So you sold the Ripken for $1k?
Bought the Thomas?

Got a scan?
