I once owned a complete 5-Star set, all with the same serial number (bought for $50 at auction in 2008). Had them graded back in 2008 and eventually sold them in 2010. I still have 5 raw Thomas cards, but I do miss the others. Very cool card with a great story behind them.

Back in 1997 I was bonkers for Score after getting some nice pulls including APs of Ripken and A-Rod in back-to-back boxes. Every once in awhile I'll pick up an AP in case I ever want to try for the set.

Picked up this fun lot (got 15 total) on ebay for under $5 dlvd. It helped that there was no photo and no list of names - just card numbers. Unfortunately that Marvin Benard was supposed to be an Eddie Murray CL. Damn typo. But both Hard Hittin' Mark Whitens make this a bargain :lol:

Didn't even think to look at the back because, realistically, what are the odds that it would have been an actual Mirror Blue, sitting there for quite a long time, mismarked, and no one having noticed? I thought I was getting lucky and picking up a Certified Blue cheap, maybe make $1 or $2 flipping it, and be pretty happy.
