It's the players in the set with the RED around their name, not the blue. So if you had a Red Select Company, you'll have a Select Company sample. I have 50 or so different, not sure on completeness, but I'm close.

Good to know, but bad to know at the same time. There are plenty of Red players I collect, looks like I have some new frustratingly tough cards to find.

I think it's interesting 18 years after release there are still big player collectors that haven't seen their guy that actually exist. Weird issue for sure and thanks Nolan for stating what cards are included and which are not

There are plenty of cards like that still you just have to keep looking and hope to get lucky. I am sure there are other 1996 Mirror Gold Proofs other than Jeter how many have you seen. The 1997 Mirror Blacks how many have you seen and there might be a hole set out there no one knows for sure.

What sucks about the mirror black is Bags has one and I never got a chance at it.

Well the Samples aren't pack issued and seems that some that haven't been found by player collectors would of popped by now. But I'd tend to think multiples of each were made. Your comparing that to pack issued Mirror Blacks that are 1/1 and I've cataloged 20 something of those, but considering only 1 of each of each card in the set max exist , not sure your comparison works. And 96 Mirror Gold Proofs , can't say I'm familiar with unless your talking about a printing error which again doesn't compare to the Samples.

I would agree that there other items that should of been seen more often but aren't that are produced in qtys of more than 1.

If I recall, my store got one, loose, with the 1997 Select order form packet. Like the 1998 Donruss Collections Prized Samples, they were issued at random.

1996 NNOF are not proofs but rather an error in a portion of the Rookie set.

Yeah , I figure that's prob how the distribution went. With so many different Samples made for the set I'm sure there was no rhyme or reason of who got who. I just tend to believe multiples of each player were made vs some having one , some having 5 made for example. I understand when things like 88-90 Score/Sportflics promos were put into boxes and don't surface , but by 97/98 with the Samples you mentioned, I'd think they'd be seen a lil more. Obviously I'm wrong.
