Happy to snag one of these - certainly don't show up often.

Just bought this so I only need the 1998 Leaf Fractal Matrix #164 Derek Jeter GLS GZ /400 to have all the 1998 Leaf Fractal Jeter cards. I can't confirm the different Materials and color and I own a few of each Die Cut card and they all look the same so I can't tell the difference but maybe someone here can help me with that.

Randomly inserted in packs, this 200-card set is parallel to the regular set and features three different die-cut versions in three different finishes. Only 100 of the set are produced in the x-axis cut with 75 of those bronze, 20 silver, and five gold. Only 60 are available in the type y-axis cut with 20 of those bronze, 30 silver, and 10 gold. Only 40 are produced in the z-axis cut with five bronze, 10 silver and 25 gold. No card is available in more than one color nor in more than one die-cut version. Card number 42 does not exist.

THose are great. I wonder if there is a a premium for coming with the string (barely see mine). They'd be tough to grade with it still attached:

I love that card. I am lucky to own a Jeter with the string attached.

This 200-card set is a die-cut parallel version of the Leaf Fractal Materials set. The first 200 cards of 75 players printed on plastic, 15 printed on leather, five printed on nylon, and five printed on wood have a die-cut x-axis background. The first 100 cards of 20 players printed on plastic, 25 printed on leather, 10 printed on nylon and five printed on wood have a die-cut y-axis background. The first 50 cards of five players printed on plastic, 10 printed on leather, 15 printed on nylon, and 10 printed on wood have a die-cut z-axis background. Each card is sequentially numbered. Card number 42 does not exist. Only 200 of each x-axis were produced, 100 of each y-axis and 50 of each z-axis were produced. Serial numbering on the actual cards is misleading because the non die cut Fractal Materials and the Die-Cut Fractal Materials were numbered prior to being die cut.

If you read beckett and this is what confuses me as it looks like the Materials have different variations Plastic, Leather, Nylon, and Wood. Just reading the description confuses me. Then the Matrix says there are different variation of the X,Y and Z-Axis that are Bronze Silver and Gold. I know I own 4 Fractal Matrix, and 3 Fractal Materials and buy more when I see them as they generally don't cost a lot and I want to see if I can find a difference. I own all but the top card that is not a Die-Cut and missed a BGS 9.5 sale for $25.00 not long ago bought by Nelson another Jeter collector on the boards here. Not that I am in a rush as I am still missing a lot though I will be adding 3 cards to my list of already have.

Each card from 1998 Leaf Fractal Materials only has one version of plastic/leather/nylon/wood. I know this because I have a complete set of the Fractal Materials die cuts sans the Hideo Nomo Leather Z axis. The Jeter card is only plastic, no other versions.

I don't collect the Fractal stuff because no matter how many descriptions I read, I have no idea what the hell is going on or how to figure it out.

Nice..,..

I just buy all the fractals i dont have.

I don't mind doubles and triples or more one day they will be hard to find and can be used as trade bait. knowing I own 4 of the 100 Matrix cards says there are only 96 left some are PC items others I don't know. I actually have a Jeter Bernie Williams Dual Base card you might need Joey but I am pretty certain you have it seeing the collection you have of Bernie.
