I had a $27 snipe in on this card (really wanted it, would overpay), but no one else bid and I won it for 99 cents. :D

Think this completes every Pinnacle card made (excluding 1/1 plates) of Mark Grace for my PC.

Those are the best wins. Congratulations on the pick up, and completion on all the Pinnacles.

nice pickups, picked up a number of new maddux cards lately but nothing super rare, working on a large batch of COMC cards keep tossing $20 on there every week or two and goin through all the sales on the classifieds.

working on 500 unique maddux cards trying to focus on $5+BV 93-99 cards at the moment

I'm a really big fan of this set, which doesn't seem to be that popular given ebay prices, but I love the way the green looks (especially on the Pedro and Nomar--makes me think of the Green Monster)

anyone else have either strongly positive (negative) opinions on this set? I'm guessing SPx wasn't that popular in the late 90's...

I really liked those radiance cards too - look great in person. I remember I pulled the Calvin Pickering #100/100 and a Tino Martinez. Here's the Grace from my PC.

Scanned the entire rainbow for the first time...only missing the Mo Vaughn auto'd SPX Force.

So which one is the grand finale? They all look to have a gold tint in that scan.

One of my favorite sets. I really like the embossed bronze "plaque" on the card. If it is possible, a HOF base set with replica miniature plaques for each player using a similar technology would be an awesome set. The 2005 UD HOF Essential Enshrinement was close, but if featured generic plaques and were not as nice as the ones from SPx.

I'm not really a fan of the 1999 set, for no real reason other than having an unusually hard time finding cards I need. I have tons of base, Radiance and Spectrum from the 1998 set (an awesome and underrated 90's set, IMO) but I only have a handful of the base from 1999 that I need, and not a single Radiance. I do have the Kapler AU, which is great, but I have a feeling this is gonna be one of those sets that I just never find all the cards I need.

Nice. Is it labeled as an atomic refractor on the back? I have heard one (other players, not Thomas/Bagwell) without the atomic refractor label and was just wondering. Mine has it the atomic refractor label. I'm just trying to confirm if there might be a variation. I know there is for the regular refractor and inverted regular refractor.

What did that Mirror Image set you back, if you dont mind my askin?

It was $99...he would have probably come down from the price, but I didn't waste time haggling.

This one is labeled as well Justin.

Damn, I didn't realize that the Inverteds had Refractors and Atomic Refractors as well! That means I have 8 more really tough cards to track down, and two of those Atomic Inverteds will be appallingly expensive (the Nomar w/Jeter, and the Helton/Konerko/Palmeiro w/McGwire).
