Just an amazing card. Was Mirror Black unannounced that year? I know Beckett had something about it, but that might have been after reports of their existence surfaced and not necessarily from Pinnacle.

I think you're right, it was unannounced. I'd let GC confirm that but I'm pretty sure. I also think the people who have these have NO idea what they have. The Belle is probably in some closet in a dusty corner of some persons house where their kids use to live.

Well, I just pooped my pants.

Unnannounce "mistake" series of cards that were created and pack inserted during case print run #5 .

I would love to hear the story on both Cal and Chipper.

Wow, you even know the case print run  How does one tell what print run a case comes out of?

you dont.....they turned the presses on in an effort to make cash and save the company for 1998. This is why there are nearly 80 Mirror Golds not 30. Runs three through five were loaded with inserts. If you find a "hotter box" you have a later run case. but I have not seen a sealed case in a LONG time.

Here is updated 1997 Mirror Black list. The Chipper that was posted had already been on my list, so the Cal is the only new addition since March that I know of. If anyone has any more to add, please do.

Whenever I'm able to land a card that's 20 years old and I've never had the opportunity to add to my Alex collection I would consider it Super Sweet .
