How many of you guys have bought every SLU of your player?

They are so cheap, I've been thinking of buying them.

I've got all the individual figures sealed. I still need the team version and a few loose figures.

Just picked this up for a price I am more than happy to pay (I had never seen this card up on an auction site before):

I was randomly searching through all Hidalgo listings (normally only look at auctions) and found it with a reasonable BIN, but everyone enjoys saving a buck or two and I did.

Missing one Gwynn, 1989, which almost always goes over $100...not cheap...

This was issued in 1999 (stats only go up to '98), so it qualifies

It's very, very rare

Can't be too rare, according to the big Beckett, it's only worth $5! :lol:

Reminds me of the time I told ajw why I wasn't going to buy the '92 DK Super from Southpaw. I'd been looking at it for quite a while, but I couldn't bring myself to pay $50 for a card that Beckett said was "worth" $2. Drew convinced me the '92 Supers were crazy rare, so I got in touch with Southpaw and made a deal for it and a few other rare Butlers I'd been looking at. Damn glad I did.

Years later I've seen other player collectors have the '92 Supers at or near the top of their wantlists and have never seen another Butler. They are stupid rare, and once again Beckett is dead wrong.

I have every Piazza SLU and McFarlane except for the Piazza 3 inch Padres figure. It can be had on the bay for $12, I just haven't pulled the trigger yet. Niekro only has the 1 SLU...so that was easy!

Still need the Ripken.

A few months ago, one of the dealers at a show I frequent had a box full of 1988 SLU figurines, out of the packaging, with the cards separate. I don't do anything other than cards, so I just grabbed a few of those of my PC players. Later on in the night, he literally gave the entire box of figurines away to a kid who asked about them. He had at least 2 Ripkens in the box. I know they're not worth much out of the packaging, but some little kid in Rhode Island has two Ripkens.
