Yea, the subgrades on the 2nd Diamond Axis are stellar for that set except you know, the 5 surface. More irked by the flip error on BGS part. Not sure anything can be done about that through COMC. They had it labeled correctly.

It's gold/bronze metal & larger than a normal card. Some sort of sample/promo or redemption set? Looks to be maybe a 6 card set https://www.comc.com/Cards,sr,=1996+topps+metal

Could it be a 1996 finest landmark. I have one similar in 1996 that is part of that set. It's heavy bronze like a Highland mint card

Had the un-numbered one for about a month or 2. Just got the /25 today. Almost have the entire rainbow! Need the Chrome International and the Chrome Gold. Have all the refractors now unless there are some un-numbered ones out there.

I passed an the chipper because I thought it was too much then found one on eBay for half and still passed. I guess I didn't want one bad enough. I don't have the marble either. I believe it's 1997.

I think it is a prototype. One guy on ebay had stacks of the photo/film that they affixed to the metal die, but I have never seen the complete item. I have the Maddux photo.

I think those guys have been well known to have 2 copies. Overall, I think they're less appealing because the card (minus the 1/1 stamp) is identical to the regular.

This seems like the best place to ask since I also collect the 90s inserts - but not quite looking for the super scarce ones.

I am working on the 94 / 95 / 96 Pinnacle Artist Proof and Museum Collection (Starburst) sets.

Thanks. I hesitated for a min too, went to search for other items and went right back. I waited until Monday to pay as I thought I'd get backdoored on that one lol. I had a couple recently that same thing Happened right as I clicked it
