No, but unfinished cards (not serial numbered) that were still in Fleer's inventory were most likely sold in bankruptcy asset auctions or in some cases taken by employees illegally as "severance pay." These cards were later serial numbered (note, the placement of the serial number is different on the unfinished cards), probably by someone who worked by Fleer because the stamping equipment is the same as the packed-out cards.
and the foil is also the same. i list those as a variation. name and no name.
But is still not an authentic Pack issued manufactured card.
Hence the "fake" label.

when i see 2 with the same serial number i will question it. and why is it only the row 0 ? why not the row 1-2-3.? there are 14 on the Juan site. none have the same serial number. what are the odds in that if the are " FAKE " very very high!

Two same serial numbers do exist and a board member here has some. The numbers are one n the left edge and the other lower right.......so yes, pack pulled and back-doored variation.

BEAUTIFUL! Congrats on finishing your set. Is it worth sending in to PSA? Mine has a slight soft corner so it would never grade PSA 10.

Doubtful, the pics in the auction were from #6/30....seller described it as "Like New"....two dinged corners. I have asked for a partial refund so we will see. #6/30 did sell for the FCB member, $500.

Anybody here have a 1999 Aurora Pennant Fever Copper /20? Were the odds longer on the 99 than the 98 because book value is higher on the 99 ones despite the same exact print run.

Yes. and No. A 1998 Aurora Platinum Blue Manny Ramirez/100 is worth $12.00 and the 98 Copper/20 is worth $25.00. However, the 1999 Aurora Pennant Fever Blue Manny Ramirez/100 is only worth $5.00 and the Copper (which I presume to be 20 copies produced) is worth $50.00.

Ah yes, Jim Beckett that wily fox was able to discern those subtle differences in price just for us collectors. Thank goodness for him.

I do have a Manny Copper 98 and I don't have a Copper 99. Same goes for the blues.

A few recent pick-ups.

The Hollandsworth is the first I have come across since 1997 (wasn't looking too hard the last couple years though).

The Score Deshields isn't cataloged or noted anywhere. I wish there was a checklist for those 1990's "clipped corner" Pinnacle promos.

Jeters are from the 1996 Upper Deck Vending (Cardzillion) set.

Finally able to get a 1998 Topps Tek Diffractor Olerud. These don't seem to show up on eBay, COMC, or Beckett Marketplace too often so I pounced on this one for under $5 from Burbank on Beckett Marketplace. I doubt getting the other 89 Diffractor patterns will ever be a priority for me, though I am searching out the base patterns with new enthusiasm now!

I have seen a couple - one just surfaced on ebay as well. I don't recall when I picked up my copy. It has a bit of wear on it!

Dang, I mised the Diffractor for Gwynn out of pure Laziness...saw it, and said "I'll check on it later" and it was gone. I did pick up 6 more base 98's in the mail today though:
I still need 8 to finnish the base set. 17-38-39-59-67-69-81-83
Only have 1 Diffractor. very hard to find!
