Hey, that Burnitz looks familiar! ;)

That was the only one I have ever seen. I wonder if the reason those are so hard to find was due to the lack of popularity.

Ahh, I should have known it was an Eddie acquisition! I was thinking it came out of an ebay lot. I too have a feeling the set wasn't a massive hit even though the card stock and photos are pretty awesome. Not much of it gets moved making the inserts and parallels a bit tougher to find it seems?

Why is that not numbered? (unless I'm missing something)

NM, I see it. I forgot they have the stupid "Ghost numbering"

I'm so sad.

Haven't picked up a needed Biggio card for a while now.

Sigh.

You don't show nearly enough of your stash! On the bright side, your need list gotten pretty short?

I've always had trouble with the 1997 SPx series... base, bronze, silver, steel, gold and grand finale. I had the silver show up today and the person listed it wrong because it's exactly like the base I have. Beckett explains "etched silver foil enhancements" is the difference. Can someone display a silver next to the base? Thanks guys...

The base '97 SPx has a foil logo, rather than black like the rest. The rest are obvious, but the base, bronze, silver, gold, and the Grand Finale all have a "dufex" like background behind the player image; the steel is the only oddball with foil behind the player.

Thanks for the post! Are all 1997 SPx base cards a bronze like color? If so, there are some SPx base on COMC which are not a bronze color from '97. Either way, I guess I need the base for Belle ::facepalm::

I'm not buying another one from this series unless I see a scan... I have my fair share of doubles!

I just got done opening 3 boxes of the 1998 Collectors Choice series 2 . i did not get any home run starquest. ( i didn't think i would ) i got 1 tripple and 6 doubles, but i did beat the odds big time with this instant win. very happy!
