Brad, at one time Dave and Adams owned a complete 1998 Mirror Red and Gold sets. I cant say I have ever seen the Red Grace but my guess it is there.

Never the less quite an accomplishment.

I've reached the pinnacle... of Pinnacle. With last week's pickup of the 97 Pinnacle Inside Diamond Edition, I've collected every Mark Grace Pinnacle brand card made in the 90's. Lots of lovely Dufex, and some tough cards like the Aficionado First Pitch Preview and two 1998 unreleased Pinnacle Certified (Base and Mirror Gold). Pinnacle was never one of my favorite brands (cards in cans? cards you have to cut open to get other cards out?), but they did make some nice cards. In celebration, here they all are (1992-1998):

Is there a Summitt Artist Proof in there? I think that may be one of the few I still need, and it doesn't show up too often...

Missed copying that scan. But, yes, have it. Thanks!

Would love to find one, that's for sure.

Regarding 1995 Score Redeemed. Grace is a Series 2, #364. I searched for a redeemed for several years, but was told by a knowledgable dealer there were no Series 2 redeemed. Never saw a Grace, (before or after then) so am inclined to believe him.

Great stuff! I'd guess I'm halfway there myself, except all the remaining cards are the tough ones that will come few and far between! Do you have all three star variations for the 1998 Pinnacle? Just curious since you only have one scanned.

You mean the Home, Away and Career backs, right? Yes - have those

Very nice! Do you have any of the plates? I opened a box of 1998 Pinnacle last year and pulled a Barry Larkin EPIX plate, so I wouldn't be surprised that there are still some Grace plates sitting in an unopened box somewhere.

Gracecollector, you wondering about the stamped redeemed one? im not sure how all thoses went about, seems like they were stamping and sending them back, then later turned in to a COA header type card, so prolly no series 2 cards were ever stamped id say

but you are missing one.
1994 Pinnacle #350 Juan Gonzalez Rare No Foil No Name. The same seller had a Grace, Wagner,Sandberg and a Lee they sold over 3 years ago. pack pulled. i pulled a Bonds, Thomas and Nixon from a box in 94. they are long gone. i got very good $ for the Nixon rookie. wish i had keep the Bonds and Thomas.

I know about that one. I see it as a printing error, just like 1991 Stadium Club below. Any card with foil can theoretically be printed without it. Foil rolls do run out during the printing process, and a few cards can go without. I've opened up several modern Topps sets with missing or incomplete foil these last few years. I place these and severe miscuts in the same category... oddballs, but not unique cards.

Brad, what about the 1998 Pinnacle Mirror Red?

1998Mirrors.jpg

George, it may exist, but I've never seen it. Which is odd because the Mirror Red prototypes are more common than the base or mirror gold ones, which may be 1/1's. Never seen another Grace base or gold besides the two I picked up back in 1999.
I have the red Juan, but have never seen the gold. would love to have one.

The 98 Pinnacle was my second 1/1 card, and back in the day cost me $225 when 1/1 plates were still a novelty.

Awwman... You mean there were variations for this set? I love this site. Always showing me new cards that I didnt know existed. And sure enough, I went through my doubles box, and I have a Home Stats in there, and an Away Stats in my PC binder. One of these nights I'll need to sit and go through your Mark Grace site and look for more variations I might not know about. Thanks!! :D

I have the home and away as well. Still need the career but trying to find these is hard. Not sure how many people know of them. And if I recall, these do not exist for the artist proffs correct?

Well, if most people are like me, they didnt even know about the back being different. And most people scan just the fronts, so if anyone ever listed the card, I'd never know what the back has. But now I know that it exists, and what to look for.

As for the Artist Proofs, I too would like to know...
