That Andruw reminded me that I had one of these buried in the basement. Complete set with Henderson showing on one side and Griffey on the other, both face up.

I always loved the design of those cards.

I went a little crazy last night and picked up a few 90's boxes...

Here's what I got:

1999 Upper Deck HoloGrFX Foil Box
1999 Topps Gold Label Retail Box
1999 Pacific Prism Hobby Box
1999 Skybox Premium Wax Box

I'm opening the Gold Label next Wednesday on the box break boards. I think I'll put the others away for a rainy day...

Awesome! No way I could delay gratification that long, not even by thinking about baseball stats
Arguably the best looking cards ever!

Isn't this just like the Stadium Club Extreme Corps cards with different color combinations? Just depended where the sheet of foil was during the printing process for what color was near top?

Seems like it to me. But i still gotta look out for both versions now. Dang OCD...

Looks like your OCD might just do you in. Like Grace Collector mentioned, these are available in a variety of colors just like the extreme corps cards. I know for a fact I have three different color variations on these as well as 5 on the extreme corps. The color patterns were random and I wouldn't bother worrying about trying to get them all. You'd be looking forever and never come across them all.

Well, my OCD paid off with this. I had the Home and Away already, but placed an order with Burbank and scored the Season stats card. The rest of my Burbank order is in the Bagwell thread ;)

Nice job getting the trio! I did some research and I don't see Belle in this set?! I guess I won't have to go through my 6,000 doubles in search of the other two I need to complete the set of 3 lol :D

I've always heard that All players have all 3 versions. If Belle is in the set, you may want to start searching.

Yea, I don't see him in that set for some weird reason? I guess it's fortunate.

Seems odd, since he's in other Pinnacle sets from that year. Oh well, 3 more cards you dont have to search for. Well, 5 more since theres no museum or artist proof of it to hunt for either.

Is this really an error? I'm thinking the seller is full of it, but maybe I'm missing something. At least he dropped the BIN from $2500   [ebay:1k61fdj0]300595336852[/ebay:1k61fdj0]

THIS IS AN EXCEPTIONALLY RARE ERROR CARD FROM THE FINEST 1997 BASEBALL CARD SET FOR WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE RARE GOLD EMBOSSED REFRACTOR PARALLEL OF ANDRUW JONES #162. APPARENTLY ON THIS PRODUCTION RUN FOR FINEST, TOPPS WHO HAD USED ATOMIC REFRACTOR TECHNOLOGY FOR 1996 BOWMAN'S BEST BASKETBALL PARALLEL SET EITHER EXPERIMENTED WITH OR MISTAKENLY HAD THE TECHNOLOGY RUN ON THIS CARD (AND AT LEAST ONE TRENT DILFER FINEST FOOTBALL CARD AS WELL

What a goof ball.

Glad to hear...I sent some questions to the seller and the main response was that a refractor would not have the same look as the 'atomic refractor error' and he referenced the 97 bowman base/ref/at ref as if that's how the scale worked with this set  Nice to know I'm not completely crazy.
