Glad to hear...I sent some questions to the seller and the main response was that a refractor would not have the same look as the 'atomic refractor error' and he referenced the 97 bowman base/ref/at ref as if that's how the scale worked with this set :lol: Nice to know I'm not completely crazy.

I sent him a note telling him it is not an error an offered to send him pictures for the whole set to include the Beckett page on the inserts.

Collectors Choice was some of the lowest priced packs you could get. yet they have some of the rarest inserts made!

Yes ! those are all returned cards. they do not say instant on them and they are foil.

I had a handful of the Instant Wins; can't remember who I had, but I know for a fact I had some 96 and 97's, because I remember being upset that I missed the deadline on them. Seriously! I cringe at the thought of what I let go, for less than pennies on the dollar. There was a 5K count box filled with nothing but 90's inserts; plenty are as worthless as they were then, but I know now I had some gems. A few Crash the Game Instant Wins, tons of Artists/Press Proofs from every set imaginable (including some 1996 Studio Silver PPs), at least one of the stupidy scarce 1995 Pinnacle Museum Collection Redemption-Only cards....you name it, I had a card from it. I got my step-father into collecting when he moved in with me and my mother, and he ended up making friends with a dealer at one of the local shows who was from the same area of NY that my stepfather was from. He used to give us crazy deals on his stuff at the shows, and I pretty much stocked up on every insert he had, along with plenty of vintage (I had two Mintier than Mint 1961 Topps Richie Ashburns!). And I dumped it all for next to nothing between the summer of 2001 and the summer of 2002 when I graduated college. A grave sin was committed long ago that I can never atone for!

EDIT: So, just out of curiosity, I Google the dealer that I mentioned above, still remember from all those years ago. This is him: http://leeiskowitz.com/ . He came a long way from setting up at mall baseball card shows!

bought this sometime in 07 if I remember correctly.. and paid only a few bucks for it which I'm sure will make a few of you feel a bit sick. it is the only one I've ever seen to this point as well.
