Yeah, the 1997 and 1998 are pretty large on my want list...I've always dug the YCTG sets. Currently working on the 1996 Gold Redeemed set.

I sold a PSA 10 1997 Piazza Instant Winner for $50, I think - maybe less. Was not pleased to say the least.

They are out there. This was a product aimed at children and retail outlets. By 1997 or 1998, once you discovered there was no rare or "hot" (aka big dollar) insert, most kids moved on. A lot of this product was produced. There are more to be found, sadly, several are probably sitting in junk boxes or in poor condition in binders with organizational systems only make sense to their owners.

Oh and to clarify: there weren't any 1995 or 1996 Instant Winners, as a previous poster alluded to.

I know a place that has some 1997 and 1998 Collectors Choice packs available, I might have to swing by and maybe find someone's white whale. Maybe pick up a box or two cheap; bbcexchange has boxes and cases of both years available.

Is this really an error? I'm thinking the seller is full of it, but maybe I'm missing something. At least he dropped the BIN from $2500   [ebay:2lscmkj0]300595336852[/ebay:2lscmkj0]

What a goof ball.

Glad to hear...I sent some questions to the seller and the main response was that a refractor would not have the same look as the 'atomic refractor error' and he referenced the 97 bowman base/ref/at ref as if that's how the scale worked with this set  Nice to know I'm not completely crazy.

Sold 100, anyone here get it?

Ye they are beautiful cards and Bernie is in the set. I would say $100 is a good price. The big stars can command over $300.

This is really cool! My first thought was wow to how many he is featured on... I really like the donruss tin box. Never seen the Belle and if I'm not mistaken, there is a gold version too.
