Why is it when I do a search of completed auctions "1998 Super Rave" the Gonzo doesn't show up for me?

It's there. Just type in Super Rave Gonzalez and that will be good enough to pull it up or just use the link:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-Circa-...0403392334?pt=US_Baseball&hash=item5891cf1f4e

Something screwy is going on for me. 1998 Super Rave, Super Rave Gonzalez, 1998 Gonzalez. Nothing works for me on a completed item search when looking for this card. Of course, I see it by clicking the link above but it doesn't show in my completed item search. Weird!

Someone do a completed item search for 1998 Super Rave and tell me how items show. I only get three.

I get 14 including a few football, and the Gonzo

Does anyone know why this is? I get 3, Gwynn gets 10 and Clark gets 14 all with the same search. This makes me wonder how many auctions I have possibly missed.

eBay, like many search engines, has proprietary algorithms to predict auctions that you might have greatest interest in...hence the evolution of the "best match" feature that eBay likes to revert to. That said, it's likely that you started your search from a specific listing category and it's limiting your search hits to that category.

I used no quotes, so I also picked up listings like 1998 Circa RAVE SUPER CARD! or something to that effect. If you use quotes like "SUPER RAVE", only the listings that actually say "Super Rave" will come up, that probably explains why I yielded 4 more listings . . . and I had no category selected either, just in case someone put something into collectibles category instead of sports cards. Less is best (less parameters to your search, the more results you will get)

Well it must be my work computer. I'm at home now and the completed search yielded 14. At work and at home I never used quotes and I did a search in all categories. I guess it's a sign that I need to be more productive at work.

Bunch, I like the proprietary algorithm theory. It sounds right. Hell you could have told me the nation's debt would be dissolved by using the proprietary algorithm theory and I would have believed you.

Sorry for the delay in cards. Now back on topic.

Padresfan, Awesome Caminiti cards. Are you the new proud owner of the 97 Precious Metals that was just up for auction?

In the meantime, here are some new Gwynns in today:
I know it's not as rare as the Studio silver, but Geez, this 1996 Leaf silver has been tough to find (reasonably)

The triple above came in a lot with this 1999 Bowman Chrome International Ref #'d/100 which I needed:

Wow, sweet Gwynns! This motivated me to finally dig out my Gwynns and drop them into their own folder in my bucket. I'll try and post any of the sweet 90s ones! If there are any you need (doubt it lol) lmk

Good call. That's got to be what it is. I have half a mind to try to rub off the writing and have an unnumbered parallel!! :D

^ can u do me a favor and see if Bags makes any cameo appearances on any of your Caminiti cards? I'd love to add more to my cameo section, and seeing how close they ere, I would assume they had to share a card or two. Lmk...

Btw, do u just collect his cards? Cuz I have a larger, more frame able item that would probably be of interest to you if you have the wall space...

I wanted that card so bad but didnt pull the trigger on it. I believe it went for 90 bucks. I bought a pair of game used pants for cheaper than that.

LOL! This is great... I sometimes think about what I've spend on a Belle card vs what an actual signed baseball goes for or game worn jacket, gloves, jersey's, etc. ::facepalm::

Sure thing. I'll check when I get home. I believe Bagwell is on atleast one of my Caminiti cards but not as a cameo. I do collect other stuff of his. So far I have a Caminiti can, coins, auto'd game used bat, game used pants, auto'd 8x10, beckett magazine with him on the cover etc etc

Cool. I'll take a pic of it and shoot it your way when i get home. Figured I'd rather have someone like you use it versus me just keeping it in my closet. I would put it up, but I dont have my baseball room anymore :(
