Anybody have any info on these? I remember pulling one of these (can't remember who the player was, but it wasn't McGwire) with the copper foil logo back in 1999 but I haven't really ever heard anything about them.

^ Wasnt that the upper deck set with the variance on the team logo being in color or not? TPeichel probably knows more about that one...

Those are some cool looking cards. I think the green bordered series usually have chipping issues. They look to be in great condition, are you going to grade any of them?

Thanks! I know I overpaid on the Tek Golds, but I needed them and his BIN OBO was really high. I have no idea how I did on the Illuminators. I don't recall seeing any sell recently; I just offered less than his BIN and he accepted. I might have overpaid for those or stole them, but either way I needed them and they look really cool in hand.

At the end of the day, is it really "overpaying" if its something you want?

These actually are both from 1999.

TBP and Chas: I bought the one for $50 too. It was a BIN, I offered $35. Felt bad for lowballing and hit the BIN 5 mins later, haha.

And I never realized that there are no markings on this 1996 Leaf Preferred Press Proof... just gold foil.

I'm thinking about returning this. The two places that look like surface scratches really are surface scratches. Their scan on ebay was with the card in a soft sleeve/hard sleeve, so it was not detectable. It was $10 dlvd on a best offer.

Is there another one available to you?

What about contacting the seller about a partial refund?
If you don't have the card, I'd keep it and go for the partial refund. $10 dvld seems like a great price, maybe the seller knew the condition with the price he settled on
